don't be a scared fan.... at the end of the day, what are we talking about?... the difference in 8 or 9 win season?

2010 AU/Clemson is a great example... that game is one of the most memorable in recent Auburn history... double digit comeback... OT victory... Had we been playing some no-body, we wouldn't experienced that.

By playing a bunch of cupcakes, they're only robbing their own fans of an awesome experience. We're only guaranteed 12 games a year... IMO, I want them to be as exciting/enjoyable as possible... not four rent-a-wins.

You experienced a similar comeback victory against nobody Utah State the next season.

Just kidding, Aubs.

The diff could be a Chik Bowl and a BCS Bowl...thats money.

And the CU game is a great example...we almost lost and had we just played Furman, we would have won and still gone to the BCSCG. Had we lost, we wouldnt experienced that.

USC apparently never signed the contract and that info was released a week ago.

The Oregon game sucks to lose but its not a shock considering they dumped out of playing Kansas State last year too.

Hopefully the replacement games don't suck arse.

They took a risk they didnt need. Had Bama lost to UM, they would have had 2 losses and not played for the title. It was a risk that was unneeded. They could have easily played a crap team and still gotten the goal they were seeking.

I enjoy the games and look forward to the top OOC match-ups we have on the horizon. The risk has plenty of reward in recruiting. Since the first two Chick-fil-A games we were in, there has been a surge of recruiting success in the Atlanta metro. We'll be back in three of those games over the next five years. Our outing in Arlington, and another in 2015, has brought some recruiting success in Texas as a whole.

A&M will play football powerhouse Louisiana Monroe in 2014, a program that has beaten Alabama and Arkansas in recent memory.

We will defend Arky and Bama's honor and restore conference pride.

To each there own. I get the fun aspect only if you win. I doubt the UM fans had fun.

Auburn already did that by disciplining them in overtime. Sorry, little buddy.

They're no Arkansas State, that's for sure.

Nobody knows what the future SEC schedules will look like, but the other teams aren't cancelling games. Poor excuse by A&M imho.

We hadn't won a BCS title when he played in the first Chick-fil-A game in 2008.

Keep in mind that, in the Big XII, you basically played all your non-conference games in September, then switched over to conference play with almost no-nonconference games after that, while in the SEC, conference play is interspersed with non-conference play beginning in mid-September. I'm sure that was a factor--I'd be surprised if USC or Oregon were going to come to Kyle any earlier in September than they had to, meaning that those dates probably fell into a window where there was a possible conflict with SEC play.
This. It's very unfortunate that we'll lose out on a great home & home (and Oregon will too) but that's the SEC way. You can't argue with the conference's formula for success, but it comes at the price of sacrificing some good (well would have been) OOC match-ups. Also, it's very likely that the SEC will implement the 9 game conference slate to keep pace with the rest of the major conferences.

but it's not YOUR money. Your money (assuming you're a season ticket holder) would be spent watch four crappy teams instead of a potential great OOC home matchup.

And 6 months prior to that game, Bama had the top recruiting class in the country. Your recruiting was already picked up due to the coach you had and currently have, not bec of beating Clemson.

But Im not going to argue with you. You see value, I dont.
