I usually take up for Mainieri, but this team has issues. We're 3-4 in in-state midweek games, and 4-3 in the SEC after getting blanked at home by a 1-5 A&M squad. Last week was more understandable. Not tonight.
In a 1-4 funk. Hopefully, the next two nights are better.

I know we were 1-5 coming in but as of now we have a better record than LSU overall. I don't think we're a better club than LSU this year, but we're not nearly as bad as our start in SEC play.

shite, I'm more worried about us getting on base. Lange did more than enough to give LSU the opportunity to win. 12 Ks and 2 runs over 8 innings was plenty good. We've been in a funk at the plate the past 5 games outside a few innings Sunday

No one thinks this, you guys will be top 4 in the West by the end of the year, I just hope the Tigers bats wake up tonight because not a single person has been hitting the past 5 games.

Nice lead off double and some decent contact, but nothing in in the top of 1. I say that because Poche has been unhittable as anyone in college baseball.
