Man, I hope UGA doesn't get a real coach.

I hope they get a really nice guy.
But rumor is Jimbo Fischer or Petrino have expressed interest in a job vacancy that is not yet vacant.

I think CMR did underachieve, but are you thinking he held UGA down? What was UGA for the 20 years prior to cmr?
And no you have no control over what the AD, or coach, or QB, or LB or PK or anyone does. We are all just spectators. even when you're alumni you're just a spectator. In fact even when you're a student, it's still not "we", unless you were on the team. And even if you're on the team, it's still not" we", unless you played. So you have that right, we are just spectators. Why people let it control their lives I dunno know, I just find it entertaining.

The big question that CMR has answered plenty of times over the years is WHY that program can't win a NC. It is sitting in the center of one of the best recruiting bases in CFB. Yet with all of that talent and resources CMR can't get it done. He wins GOAT underacheiver for sure and if I had been watching status quo for 15 years, I'd want a change.

quote:
People talk about the East being down but Richt has been at the helm through Meyer at UF
LSU and Miles played him every single season.

and Spurrier at USC
Miles never lost to him at South Carolina. PLEASE.
This is a huge fail of a thread. Richt has underachieved.....period.

As much as I like to criticize Helen, and kick puppies when they are down, I do think to win a NC takes a good measure of good luck, and to miss out it takes another of bad luck.
If I were a GAg fan, I would be worried about what coach you end up with. Take for example Jimbo Fisher- is he really better than Richt? Every year he recruits as well as Helen, and every year they have perplexing loses, just like Helen. He had the good fortune to have a rapist as their QB, and he was coaching in Tallahassee which protected Jameis. Do you think he would have gotten away with that chit in Athens? Cause I know he would have not in Gainesville.
It is a tough choice. You have to have a great AD who will make the right choice, and even though it would not be guaranteed.
What really bugs the puppies is that it seems that Foley hit another homerun. Time will tell if this is for real, but it looks like it.
I feel a little compassion for the mutts after the Muschamp years, but such is life. It is tough out there, ask the Vo11s.
