I wasn't a CT, but i've got no problems with them. They are a big part of the history and future of our university.

Sorry.. Senior Military College... My ring has sabers and guns on it dewdz!

More importantly, let's keep this forum from becoming "Texags East"

A couple idiots seem determined to try to make it so. They don't seem to grasp the concept of a multi-team board. Or that it's supposed to be sports-related.

Those poor shits will either quit or lose those 40 lbs guts. They still have their hair, which means they probably have no idea the shite they are about to wade through. I have seen fat fricks enter the corps and come out "shitting tiffany cufflinks" as Gunny Hartman would say. Most of the CTs that make it out of hell week are some fit motherfrickers.

It has always been my understanding that the band isn't held to the same PT standards as the rest of the corp. I could be wrong though. I didn't hang with any Corp Turds.

Emphasis on "most." Not gonna lie we had some real porkers, too. Have no idea how they slipped through the cracks

Not ALL porkers are fat BTW.

Getting some women on the field, whether it be the ADT or female cheerleaders would also help portray a more accurate image of what TAMU is today. Nothing against the corps and what they do but A&M has a major image problem nationally and now would be the time to fix that going into the new league.

I've been saying this for years. Otherwise y'all have no excuse to not at least be on the level of FSU. The Aggies can't get out of their own way. It's good to see one Aggie understand the image concept.

Many Aggies feel this way.

I'm pretty traditionalist when it comes to the Corps and A&M, but I think we can add a dance team or whatever to the sidelines without diluting the gameday atmosphere. Not openly advocating for it, but I do believe it'll happen eventually, and I'm ok with that.

Seriously though, it's very difficult to enforce a height and weight standard when you're required to both keep the numbers above a certain level and you can't threaten to revoke a contract from someone who doesn't have one. Plus, you can't exactly remove them from school either.

If that's the case, you'd be in favor of removing Corps Block...after all, it's only 16 years old.

Put them on the field and stick them in the corner for all I care. Just give the cameras something else to look at and focus on besides 18 year old CTs.

Thought they got rid of those (unless they brought them back in another form or something).

Eh, I know it's a hot button issue for some Ags, but I don't really care one way or the other. I enjoyed going to the game with my buddies and the rest of the Corps in a block--my dad enjoyed his time as a part of the 12th Man without Corps Block. It's all the same to me--I'm there to watch a football game.

Wally Groff was just a piece of shite

Hey Lobo, I have appreciated your posts here and on Texags but lighten up a little on Wally.

He did the best he could with what he had to work with. Sorry you and others didn't agree. He spent almost his entire career in the Athletic Department. He was an excellent financial guy. Served in the corps, is a good Ag and loves A&M.

But he is gone now. He has been retired for several years. He is an excellent father, grandfather, husband and a pretty good rancher in West Brazos County.

My family has been friends with Wally and his family since the early 1970's and don't feel he needs to be described in those words.

You may think he did a crummy job as AD and that is your right. But you, me and Wally are fellow Ag's and we should at least respect one another.

Gig em.

Thank you for your service.

The comment that will always get me about Groff is the "the records don't matter as long as we sell out the stadium". That lack of proactive thinking is what allowed Mack Brown, Nick Saban, and Bob Stoops to run circles around R.C. Slocum in the late 90's. Also, I'm pretty sure Slocum should have been fired after what he did in the 1996 season off the field. That was close to what Bobby Petrino did.
