BIG difference in making first career start away on the plains as opposed to starting in the friendly surroundings of tiger stadium.

I really don't know why anyone bothers posting anything on here. There can never ever be a civilized discussion on any topic without the other fan base going full retard

To the OP, that was spot on by that Purdue fan and only time will tell with Etling. Judging him by what he did at Purdue is ridiculous.

Thank you for the information on him, that's a pretty good read and most is true for almost any QB. Doesn't matter how good or bad a QB is if he doesn't have a team surrounding him that give him an opportunity to be good.

LSU fans will catch a lot shite due to preseason chest pumping, overreactions on his 2nd quarter performance, and etc.

Obviously this weekend will tell a lot about him and his future prospects. I know there will be overreactions either way he performs. It will be some good times on the secr. ??

Good god, it is going to be hilarious when Harris trots out on to the field for the first series as the starting QB. There may be an actual riot.

It would be but it's not going to happen. Les is literally coaching for his job. Then again he probably knows he isn't' winning the west, so he could do it just to frick with us.

If this happens, it will probably be short lived. Hoping the best for Harris, but I don't see him turning this around

In 2014 , Brandon Harris made a comeback against State and led LSU fans believe he was the " Messiah ". Fast Forward to 2016, Etling came in against a FCS powerhouse and went 6 for 14 with 100 yds, 1td, 1int. They call him " Savior ". Mississippi State is to Etling as Auburn is to Harris. See the trend?

Harris was going into his first start as a true freshman against a tough SEC west opponent at their stadium.

Etling is a RS Junior playing at home against a bottom feeder. I think he'll manage.

It's truly sad that this is what it's come to for LSU fans. That assessment is as credible as any assessment you dumbasses were saying about Brandon Harris this offseason. It literally means nothing. But you take it and run with it because you're trying to force yourselves to believe that your season is saved because of a Purdue transfer.

The thing is slick that you are so insecure about the kid that you are working hard to convince us (and probably yourself) that he doesn't suck. Very telling imo.

Don't think Ala tiger was doing that. To me he was sincere when he said he was just passing on an opinion from a fan of the school DE transfered from which gives everyone additional info or background on him. He is a pretty hot topic on here and people are curious of his abilities.

Most of the overreactions I have seen have been from the Rantards rather than the LSU Fans (except a few).

We are just happy we have someone that was able to convert a 3rd down and keep a drive going.

Think of it this way... Our offense had a dead battery and we could not get it started. We have replaced the battery and now we can crank it at least. Where we go from here depends on a lot more than just that battery.

I honestly think the Rantards on here did not see Harris play this season and realize how bad it was.
