A most colossal depressing thought for SEC fans other than Bama fans...

FACTOID: When Lord Saban retires from Bama, at worst there is no less than 50% chance that Bama's new HC will be Dabo.

Who cares.

Wait ... are you seriously putting Dabo on the same level as Saban?

Just a couple of years ago the HBC beat Dabo five straight years ... and would have kept on beating him had he not gotten old and lazy.

I'd still be happy. No way Dabo continues Saban's success. Yall will still be a contender every year but I don't think the same dominance will be sustained. Thank fricking God.

I just feel like Dabo would be waaaay too different of a coach.

Great coach but he's goofy. Saban is a machine.

I don't see Dabo making a lateral move like that

Doesn't bother me. Vandy fans really don't care who is coaching at another SEC program. Even UT. And, let's face it, Saban is a one-of-a-kind. If his process could be replicated to anywhere near the same effect without him, it already would have been. Dabo isn't a bad coach, but he's no different from any above-average coach who comes into a good program so far. Let's not get ahead of ourselves in lionizing a man who, prior to Watson, was doing pretty well...in a conference that was basically "Florida State and then those other programs" for most of his tenure.

Guessing you meant to ask this on the Bama board? Slow night in the trailer park?

Lsu will still be able to win 8 games a year for an entire century no matter who the bama coach is.

If I was a recruit, I would rather play for Dabo than any other coach. He is a very fun loving, sincere and caring guy. Nothing fake, douchey about him. Just a genuine good ole southern boy full of nothing but positive, radiant light and energy. The guy is a winner ....

i don' tthink Dabo and Les Miles are similar in personalities. Miles seems pretty aloof to me, more like the ex-UGA coach, Richt or whatever.

I think he's a massive douche. If I hear "bring your own guts" in his voice again I'm gonna stab my kneecap with an ice pick.

that wsa a mistake if they hired him based on that game. Pitt got 5 bogus calls in that game. Four were on 3rd and long pass plays. if Pitt doesn't get just one of those bad calls, they probably lose.

if that game was refereed correctly, Pitt probably has at least 17 less points and probably 28 less points than it did.

they also called a personal foul penalty on Boelware simply for assisting in a tackle. you could tell a dossier had been sent to ACC refs about him being 'dirty'. lol

I agree with you but let me share another factoid... Dabo is no Saban. In fact his approach is 180 degrees from Nick's. Can the Bama Process handle that kind of change and better yet can the fan base handle it - we already know the answer to the second part!

to me, goofy is referring to what Saban does as The Process. lol When Saban lost to Okla and OSU in recent bowl games, what happened to The Process. lol
