Cry a river Crimson. I read through your troll attempt right away since it didn't jive with the REAL talk among B1G people.

Something has to give in the B1G. Wisconsin and Michigan State have been battling it out while the giants slept (OSU, Michigan). Now, one of the giants has woken up.

UW and MSU will need to adapt, and quickly. And Michigan ... we'll see. These days, Michigan is probably a harder sell than Stanford. There's more talent out west and Stanford has the prestige school thing happening. No kid playing today remembers when Michigan was worth a crap.

CBS Sports wrote an article this morning that the B1G is the most likely conference to have two teams in the playoff this year.

Oooppsss, shouldn't have wrote that since it isn't going to make the OP happy.

So it isn't just about Ohio State.

Two years ago, I told my friends that Urban Meyer would stockpile talent and dominate the league for the foreseeable future. They laughed at me.

Ohio State IS that much better than everyone else. UW and MSU do not stand a chance right now. Neither do Penn State or Michigan.

In the past 2 seasons, 4 different SEC programs have finished in the top 5 of the final AP poll.

In the past 3 seasons, 6 different SEC programs have finished in the top 5 of the final AP poll.

In the past 4 seasons, 8 different SEC programs have finished in the top 5 of the final AP poll.

In that time frame, Ohio State and Michigan State are the only two programs to finish in the top 5. In fact you would have to go all the way back to 2005, when Penn State finished 3, to find someone other than Ohio State or Michigan State finishing in the top 5 of the final poll.

They seriously laughed at you? WOW. Talk about dumb. Urban is ELITE. One of the best the game has ever seen. He dominates any league. He dominated the SEC, he win at Bowling Green and he won at Utah.

We are likely to see another Urban vs Saban matchup before Saban retires.

Ohio State and Michigan State are good teams, everyone else in that league sucks, so it's easy for those two teams to run through the league. The assertion makes sense, but not because it's a strong league, but because it royally fricking blows.

Hardly. He coached at Florida from 2005 to 2010. Four SEC teams won championships during that time.

He won TWO national titles while coaching in the SEC. That is dominating. Don't be so stupid.

Michigan State will be a good team this year. They return a bunch of starters and they've got a lot of seniors.

What they lack is explosive playmakers. MSU has got to update their skill positions in order to compete. I presume they are the team that CBS thinks will make the playoff along with OSU. But if they do, they won't be able to compete with teams that field elite playmakers.

I really don't feel like its my role to teach you what the word "dominate" means.

I don't see anything wrong with rooting for SEC teams. Admittedly I only do it if it doesn't hurt LSU's ranking or potential ranking; and even then sometimes it doesn't matter.

I think it's fair to say that the B1G is on a long overdue upswing. Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin are all good. Nebraska is decent. Penn State and Minnesota are on their way up to decent, and Michigan should make a comeback in a big way under Harbaugh.

But the fact that a Big Ten team won the NC doesn't mean it's the best football conference - it just means the SEC didn't have the #1 team for once. In 2012 when Kentucky won the NC in basketball, no one was saying the SEC was suddenly the best basketball conference. That would be dumb. Same thing goes with the B10 for football. The Pac-12 made a statement in the post-season. If they prove to be better than the SEC twice in a row, then maybe I'll concede this conference is no longer the toughest. Right now, the Big Ten isn't even in the conversation.
