Bama, LSU and UF D's will continue to beat that arse until you decide you can run the ball between the tackles
A&M averages 5.7 YPC between the tackles (most in the SEC). Granted, it isnt as impressive as our 6.2 YPC average outside the tackles, but it's not bad.
And I'll ask again: What "between the tackles" offense has lit up Florida or LSU this year?

exactly
aTm offense= Oregon offense
It may put up numbers, but it doesn't beat LSU or Bama.
eta or UF

You simply have a different definition of good QB play, precisely because you're an LSU fan. Four years of Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson and Zach Mettenberger tends to lower standards.
You haven't watched Mett/LSU offense progess this year. It's obvious. Get over it.

exactly, you pad your stats vs the medicore teams and shite the bed vs the big boys. It's happend twice this season vs LSU and UF and is about to happen again vs Bama. Get used to it.
What offense doesnt "shite the bed" against those defenses? A&M did better against LSU's defense than anyone else this season in terms of yardage.

that's your problem, lighting up LSU/Bama or UF is not what you need to do to win.

Most teams don't beat LSU or Bama and it has nothing to do with the type of offense they run.

Our game off the edge is what opens up the middle for us. why do you folks all think that it absolutely has to come up the middle to open up the edge? Effective is effective, no matter how you slice it.

I've watched Mett progress his way down the list of SEC QBs. Depending on what one thinks of Bo Wallace, Mettenberger is the fifth or sixth best QB in his own division this year.

When jff throws for 298 with no pics vs Bama, let me know

You people are scared shiteless, that we have begun a quick ascension into the upper crust of SEC football. What has happened in '12 will be compounded in '13. we know it, and you know it. Next season, the SEC can ride our coat tails.
New conference....same old Aggy

I know, scoring more points is what you have to do. You have to score yourself and stop them, regardless of what offense you run.
Hardly anyone has successfully done it, and many types of offenses have tried.

Your game off the edge is ineffective against elite SEC teams because of DE's that run 4.4 40's.
If you want to beat these teams you have to be able to line up, run it between the tackles and let playaction open up.
It's how we ALMOST beat Bama and how UF beat us. They can run the ball.
Or that's what I saw.
Don't get me wrong, JFF is a great player. But there's a reason why SEC teams try to load up at the RB position each year and win NC with subpar QB's.

You'd cut your left nut off with a rusty spoon for the right to trade Mett for Manziel.

We only have 3 eligible running backs right now. That number will increase to 5 next season.

And we'll still get the Sugar Bowl. That should tell you something.

There isnt a DE in the SEC who runs a 4.40. No lineman has ever been clocked below 4.48 at the combine, and he wasnt from the SEC. The SEC is fast, but this is hyperbole.

Our backs averaged almost 7 YPC against LSU.

We almost beat UF and should have beaten LSU with our offense.
