Also, it very clearly states who requested it be taken down.
University of Tennessee Athletics.

Find me a single highlight video with original footage.

I never said he was.
This type of "everyone is doing it" thinking is what led to the rise of the Nazis.

Then he needs to follow fair use guidelines. You can use it and then try the fair use counter claim if you someone makes a copyright claim.
quote:
In its most general sense, a fair use is any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and “transformative” purpose, such as to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work.
quote:
In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:
the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
the nature of the copyrighted work;
the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole;
and the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
I just watched the 2016 HYPE and UCLA video. He used an Aerosmith song (in what seems to be its entirety) in the UCLA video so he should be glad he didn't get a strike from youtube on that. They tend to scan for those things.
The Hype video uses, what sounds like, one of the Buffer's ring announcement. I know, they don't like people using that without them getting paid. There is no commentary and it could reduce views on official highlight videos which reduces revenue.
