A game where you really wanted an SEC team to beat the OOC opponent

In recent memory, the Cal at TN game in 2006 comes to mind where the vols were underdogs. In my mind that was as 'signature' a game as Florida beating OSU for the title. I think it was Ainge who said afterwards that they were playing not only for TN but the entire conference that day.

I want UGA to throat chop Boise in the opener next year so they can't chirp about what they "deserve" for the rest of the year.

that Cal game was not as great a signature win as you think.
CAL had just lost their starting all conference DB to injury and started a freshman who got torn apart by Meecham.

And yet were firm favorites to not only win but curb stomp TN in Neyland stadium. Wasn't the line like 2 TDs?

i usually always root for the SEC team against any OOC opponent. i especially remember rooting hard for uga to stomp Hawaii that one year, and also for LSU in their two most recent national championships.
i can't help but love seeing big ten schools especially loose to the SEC. i just get a sense that they still somehow think they are better than us.

we were up 28-0 at one point against cal. they didnt score on us till the end of the 3rd quarter. i was at that game, the cal fans were so disrespectful of the prayer before the game i was so glad we beat the hell out of em. even after the game they tried to make excuses for loosing to us. the 35-18 score did not reflect how bad we spanked that arse that day.

That completely negates it. Forget that it was 35-0 when tennessee took the foot off the gas. The win was solely do to Meachem against thompson. No way he would have made any plays against their "all-conference" corner.
