This year marks the 50th anniversary of many of the seminal events in the civil rights movement. There are quite a few commemorative activities going on.

Sorry if your small intellect can't grasp that.

I'd rather be wrapped in cotten candy and staked to an ant hill.

So the SEC's national voice on ESPN, from Alabama, will be moderating a bama/aubbie seminar. Unless he completely changes his format for his national viewing audience, he's going to be an embarrassment for the rest of the league. The unnecessary question of bias will raise its ugly head again.

Maybe y'all don't get it, but the whole reason he is relevant nationally is because he gives everyone else all the material they could ever want to make fun of the south. It's his whole premise and it couldn't be a better time for him because every football fan in America hates the SEC and craves things to make fun of us about since they cannot beat us on the gridiron. I used to like his show when it first came to fm and was still about sports. Now however it's nothing but idiot rednecks from both sides of the line in Alabama doing nothing but making idiots of themselves trying to one up the idiots on the other side.

His show serves only to give the rest of the country more and more material to make fun of us with. And it is making him rich as frick.

This article agrees. A good read, for those interested.

Finebaum is the radio version of Jerry Springer, nothing more. An unfortunate hire.
