Funny you would try to pull the recruiting card. One of the orange teams has back to back top 5 classes. Hint: it's not Clemson.

what SEC school busses the players around the stadium, they rub the rock and run down the hill. Zero. that is Clemson's main tradition

I bet you'd love to rub a couple of stones yourself.

Cute thread, but we don't want Dabo. At best, he'd be our Ron Zoom. Keeping the coffers full until a real coach comes along.

If Dabo Swinney was offered the Bama job, he would hang up the phone and run to tuscaloosa. not walk, but he would be sprinting.

there's your answer to what job is better.

not at all, because he went to college there and played on the football team. It would be for sentimental reasons, not which job is better

seems like a lot of different coaches have had trouble putting it together at TN. Clemson is better position geogrpahyically to recruit GA and Florida than TN
Dude you get the leftover, SEC scraps. You might get a steak or two every 4 or 5 years.

So, you came from saying Clemson > Bama to Clemson is better than Ole Mills

Yep. 4 five stars. #5 class. Also #5 last year. We don't get anybody. Seriously, get off right now before you embarrass yourself more.

First off, Clemson has new facilities, has been getting their own success, and whatnot. His recruiting is top notch. He has also said that it'd be extremely difficult to get him out of Clemson ( LINK). As for the pay, he has taken pay cuts to allow more money for coordinators like Chad Morris (was highest paid coord in country ) and venables. I'm not going to argue whether it's a lateral move or not, who cares? But the point is that Clemson HC is a top job and I doubt Dabo would be all that interested.
As for ripping off Death Valley, we had it first. LSU's was referred to as Deaf Valley for a period (still after clemson) and then it was changed to Death Valley. Here's a LINK from an LSU site. Please learn your own school's history.

Agreed. He's a Bama boy and he loves his home. The fact that Bama has infinitely more money, better recruiting, more talent, more tradition, a bigger fanbase, a bigger brand, a better conference, and more media exposure would just be a happy coincidence.

No, because I barely keep up with my own team's recruiting.

Also, Jamie is terrible at arguing (just saying, but I haven't read much of this thread), and it's not exactly fair when it's 100 to 1. So cut the guy a little slack.

The jobs are not even comparable. Clemson would be about 5th in the SEC west in jobs and about 4th in the east.
