Probably not, but if they did get Fournette, he would be putting up Marshall Faulk stats (rush and rec) as long as Brees continues to roll. No stacking the box against the run with Brees, and LF will catch 5 balls a game.

This. Having fournette with that offense would be sick. Would also help with the transition to potentially a younger, newer QB after the Brees era is over. I see it as a homerun and I can imagine Leonard wouldn't mind playing in New Orleans.

18 out of 22 starters back, most in the SEC, and half are first round draft picks.

Half of 18 or half of 22? Doesn't matter because 6 is half of 12 I think. Am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

What most of these idgits haven't pointed out is how we will be losing that many players to the NFL.

Seniors we are losing that will get drafted:
1) Ethan Pocic (1st-2nd) round
2) Kendell Beckwith (1st-2nd) round
3) Tashawn Bower (3rd-5th) round
4) Duke Riley (6th-7th) round
5) Corey Thompson (3rd-4th) round
6) Tre White (1st-2nd) round
7) Dwayne Thomas (2nd-3rd) round
8) Ricky Jefferson (2nd-4th) round
9) Lewis Neal (1st-2nd) round
10) Christian LaCouture (5th-7th) round
11) Travin Dural (1st-3rd) round
12) Colin Jeter (3rd-4th) round
13) Josh Boutte (2nd-3rd) round

That's just the seniors.

Now the Juniors:
1) Jamal Adams (1st) round
2) Leonard Fournette (1st) round
If Godchaux and Dupree get good draft grades, I could see them leaving early, but honestly I think Dupree and Godchaux could benefit from another year. I would like to think that Jamal Adams might stay but I doubt it. And LF7 is gone.

However, we have guys just waiting to fill those positions. We are finally getting to the point where we don't have to start Freshman every year which is good. This is the first year we will have experience starting for LSU.

1st round lock barring injury. The NFL loves LSU wrs, and with good reason.

LSU has definitely had their share of good Receivers so it should be hard for anybody to argue the point. Even if he doesn't have a breakout year you would have to look at the QB play to see if it was Dupre's fault or not. It wouldn't surprise me if he goes in the first.

When I first read it I was thinking the same thing. Any time you lose as many players as LSU will next year, you have to expect to rebuild for at least a year.

However, you guys put yourself in pretty good position with your last class, so I would expect the pain to be a bit less than most teams would have. It should still be a little painful, just not as bad.

So this will be the best team in the history of college football? Y'all thought you had one of those in 2011 also.

I'm talking about his "projected" draft selections. It's laughably bad.

Well, they WERE pretty darn good. Not quite on Alabama's level, but in almost any other year they probably would have won the National Championship.

There are no more excuses for LSU, particularly for Les Miles. None. There’s no reason why they should lose more than 2 games this season and not be in the hunt for the SECCG/Playoff. They bring back almost all of their starters/2-deep and they have a great class coming in. Additionally, Bama and Arky will be breaking in new QB’s, OM has to replace a lot of talent, and they get Bama and OM at home. If they underachieve again and have another 3-4 loss season, I think you have to question if Miles is the guy going forward. And I get that his players love him and is funny. That’s great. But if they can’t get it done this year, it could be a few more years until they will have a team that is as talented and give them their best chance to win it all. They’ll be losing a ton of players to the draft/graduation after this season and while they’ll be good, they won’t be as good in 2017, and they’ll be starting a young QB in 2018 and there could be some growing pains.

With a big year, we could have six go in the first round. Those of you who think it is soooooo crazy, why? We are NFLU....the two things Miles does best is recruit and get your prepared for the NFL. Its just what LSU does. Now, it doesn't always equate to championships....but Miles puts a shite ton of players into the league and it doesn't matter how one player played in one game. Its a process. If we have big year with this elite talent? Hell yeah, watch it go down
