They just seemed, to my mind, to be the logical "sixth" choice given that State lost a ton.

There is nothing "logical" in this sentence.

Tennessee plays:

Oklahoma
@Florida
Arkansas
Georgia
@Alabama
South Carolina
@Mizzou

"You have to get to the game to have a chance at winning it."

Only one team in the history of sports has gone 0-4 in title games/finals series and then won a title...and you're not the Denver Broncos.

Its weird the levels of angst you have towards Mizzou.

Please, nothing about Missouri's "success" could be described as logical. They took advantage of back-to-back bed-shittings by South Carolina and especially Georgia (who lost by 18 to team that completed 2 passes).

Nonetheless, they're 23-5 (14-4) over the past two seasons.

Don't be a Bama fan.

Mizzou shite their own bed as well. We just overcame that to win out. Your thought is typical of the tRant hypocritical group think concerning Mizzou.

While true, didn't Missouri do something similar to the fighting Muschamps?

No angst at all. It's simple logic.

Missouri has lost every time they've been in a championship game by no fewer than 17 points, allowing no fewer than 38 points each game.

We weren't a top 10 team either.

Win a title game to make it mean something, or Missouri will always just be the team that back-doored in to a title game appearance because of the archaic rule that the East "had" to send someone to get slaughtered in Atlanta.

And if you include 07 (since Pinkel was there and all), they were #1 and got blown out by Oklahoma.

Weak East. Lost to Indiana. They can go undefeated in the sunbelt, doesn't mean I have to think it is great.

Razorbacks flying under the radar..

I think the Hawgs could be in the top five. I also think the team leading the SEC west heading into October will be a good bet to win it. We've got more big, early-season games than we've seen in a number of years.

Return everybody after a 9 win seasons(two end of the game losses to AU and LSU) but not sure.

I'd say it was being prison raped by TCU that kept Ole Miss out of the conversation.
