Was talking to a juco coach yesterday recruiting one of our students and he laughed regarding OM and said everybody knows what they are doing. Nothing may come out of this, but as a BAMA fan, we know all too well what being cocky and arrogant with the NCAA during an investigation can lead to.

Correct....the NCAA reads message boards and punishes schools based off how cocky their fans are.

No, I know they don't pay attention to pankreb but just hope you and others are not a snapshot of your administration

Guy writing this doesn't have any inside info.

Read about how severe the recent SMU basketball sanctions were.

Announcing this just before signing day is just letting OM know the hammer is coming. You can be arrogant and joke about it, but the joke is on OM..

You can make fun of spell check on my phone if that makes you feel better but the fact is that ole miss is screwed regardless. A bowl ban and scholarship reductions are almost certain. The poster before that mentioned SMU is correct that only involved 1 player Keith Frazier and their coach was suspended, scholarship reductions, and a 1 year post season ban. The ole miss had wide spread academic misconduct. If you want me to keep naming players I can do that too.

LIIIIIIIIINK

"The NCAA opened up a second investigation last season following the news regarding Laremy Tunsil and his connection to a sports agent. That investigation was a separate incident and is not connected to this ongoing investigation, as far as anyone knows at this stage."

Here they actually mention the second, ongoing investigation that only focuses on football and Tunsil, mentioned earlier in this thread.

Dude your athletic department had 32 violations. Are you seriously bragging that only 5 were in football? Seems this is the exact type situation that lack of institutional control was designed for. You guys are going to get hammered.

Dude, the major infractions were from 2012 when Ole Miss self reported & fired the WBB coach before he ever coached a game. Do you honestly not realize we knew about this? Heck we have been discussing it for weeks on our board. But please tell us more about this issue since you seem to know so much?

I like how ole miss fans have convinced themselves these are minor violations despite the fact that nobody actually knows what's in the letter. The ncaa doesnt bother sending formal allegation letters over secondary violations.

It's one letter regarding three sports. Basketball and track aren't secondary, so yeah, they would.

We convince ourselves because we've known about this for awhile now. National media backs up what we assume. We may be wrong but it's not like we are being blind homers here. The only ones who are saying we are in big trouble are rival fans. Who is more bias, national media, or scared sec teams?

Bingo.

We had like 20+ secondary violations in 1 year under Kiffin, never got an NOA. Ole Miss fans are as delusional as they are fat, poor, stupid and racist.

If we are fricked then how come there have been no decommittments? How come Shea Patterson still enrolled early even after his brother, whose job it is to know about these things, told him about them? If they were major then you would see decommitments. And guess what? There have been none

Because if decommits and doesn't enroll early, his brother gets fired. Not too tough to figure out

Since when is 5 violations not a lot? If they had come out and said "ole miss has been charged with a recruiting violation" it would still be a big deal. 5 just doesn't seem like much compared to the boatload of others in women's bb and track

5 secondary violations in FB isn't bad. BUT he combines a few too many statements together.

- 5 are football
- most over 2 years old
- current staff violation are secondary

He says that = 5 secondary violations

I read that to mean 1 or more major violations by the prior staff. That could lead to sanctions, be it minor (less visits, vacated wins) or horrible (post season ban)

Secondary violations are mostly accidents or stupidity usually leading to very minor penalties

That whole AD will end up on probation for 1-4 years though since there are major violations in 2+ sports over a long period

Watch out for all the prepaid visa's Treadwell and his family were in posession of while he attended the University of Mississippi along with other high profile players that had expenses paid for in this manner all purchased by Ole miss staff members under the current staff.
