wouldn't say it's a coping mechanism. It's reality. It happened. It was documented and talked about by some former players, and I thought it was a good way to get their view of the series.

Pathetic may be a little harsh. Frustrating? Hell yes.

Yeah perhaps it was a bit harsh. I only used it bc I can't imagine a lot of other fan bases making a doc like this. To each his/her own. It was solid and I was entertained to some degree.

Part of the context should be that we lost 2 previous Super Regional Game 3s at home less than 5 years before that...

Yet, we'll never really know...

oh we know. LSU lost one conference series that entire season, won the SEC, won the SEc Tournament, swept through the regionals and super regionals, and then swept their way through Omaha into the championship series, with none of the games really being close until they got to Texas. LSU wasn't ranked outside the top 5 for the entire season.

Texas, like LSU, won both the regular season and conference tournament championship in the Big12, and they earned the #1 overall seed in the tournament. They swept their way through their regional play and beat a very good TCU team in the supers. They also then swept their way through Omaha to the championship series.

LSU and Texas were heads and shoulders better than everyone else in 2009. The NCAA Tournament played out just like it should have in 2009, with the best two teams facing each other in the championship series in Omaha. It was also arguably the two best programs of the past 30 years in college baseball. Basically college baseball's wet dream.

This video raises a lot of important questions, the most important being:

How old is too old for a Delta Boy Swoop?

Basically. People forget that we led the next inning off with a double and didn't score a run.

what I don't understand is how Ole Miss treats 2009 more harshly than other years.

2005: won first game of super regional, in Oxford. Game 2, had 1 out with bases loaded in B9, down two. Ground into a double play to end the game. Game three, tied the game in the 5th, lost it the next inning. Then, had bases loaded again in the 8th, down two, couldn't get any runs across. In the 9th, had two runners on, down two, again couldn't get anything across.

2006: the worst IMO. Up 1 games to none, at home again, to a 3 seed out of their region in Miami. Get blasted two straight games.

I thought the video was good for a school project.

I laughed at the three fans they pick.
Old country guy
The backwards polo hat kid
Then the biggest troll on twitter person

I remember hearing it the first time after we lost to Arizona State in '07 and State made it to Omaha.
