We start 2/14, if the field doesn't have snow on it.
I have had a snow-covered yard for a solid week. And its supposed to snow this week.
This is the last year we have to deal with practicing in that shite, as our indoor baseball facility will be complete in a few months.

Tell you what, since I'm such a nice guy, you can send that snow here.
Just not today, finally gotten back to 70.

LSU should be very strong this year. I'm very excited about this season.

you realize we blow all those stats you listed out of the water, right?

USC has a rich baseball history, as does LSU
6 National Championships - 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2009
16 College World Series Appearances - 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013
26 NCAA Tournament Appearances - 1975, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013
10 Conference Tournament Champions - 1986, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2000, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013
15 Conference Champions - 1939, 1943, 1946, 1961, 1975, 1986, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2003, 2009, 2012
Schweeet! Walking the dogs did wonders ... and that's what I was hoping for right there.
Okay, I see yours and raise you the following ...
Both have six finals appearances ... LSU has won all of theirs. It does not get any better than that.
SCAR CWS win per appearance 2.91 per appearance. LSU's 2.19.
Total wins in Omaha ... LSU 35 in 16 appearances, SCAR 32 in 11 appearances.
CWS winning percentage: SCAR .615 and LSU .614
SCAR won seven metro conference titles back in the day before joining the SEC ... and those were the days when Tulane, Louisville, Va Tech, even Memphis State played good baseball. Seven out of ten years we were in the conference. We won a few in the ACC as well. So we've got our share of conference titles in addition to the ones we've won in the SEC, and will win in the future.
Let's admit the SEC Tourney doesn't mean squat unless you're on the bubble though. Not saying that I wish we didn't win it more often, but for SCAR winning the SEC tourney is bad luck for post season play.
SCAR 29 NCAA Appearances ... LSU 26. I did not know that LSU made its first appearance in '75 as well, not until just now. SCAR played in the '75 and '77 finals (against Texas and AZ St respectively). Wait, '75 was your first year in the dance - my bad. I was about to type that I was in Omaha that year and didn't remember y'all being there but then I opened another browser and rechecked your post ... gotcha. But damn, when y'all did finally get there you kicked arse.
Two outstanding baseball programs.
Both programs know how to get there and win when we do.
Wonder how we've both done, what our common CWS appearances are?
Let's see ... I'm typing this as I am finding it so it'll be whatever it is as I find it:
Looks like 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982, 1985, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013. So bolded are common years.
I'm really surprised there are only two common years. We were runner-ups the year before, 2002 vs Texas.
Did we knock y'all out of the 2003 CWS? I remember we got knocked out by eventual champ Stanford, but I think we may have eliminated y'all in the 3rd round or something?
Then in 2004 what happened? Did we eliminate y'all again in 2004 before we lost to eventual national champ CSF that year? I cannot remember? Seems like they had us in the same bracket ... I dunno.

As I type this , I feel like engie is hard at work gathering up data and meaningless stats to post in this thread... At least one can hope so.

Looks like you just essentially posted the same stat 3 times but rearranging the presentation.
In all honesty y'all have been more impressive in the last 5 years but don't really compare when you use the entire history of both programs.
Good luck this year but please stop with the "oh what happened in 2003, I can't remember". It's as juvenile and transparent as pulling a girl's ponytail in 1st grade

We can talk shite to any other fanbase in the SEC, but you chose LSU?

Well it seems like you are baiting LSU fans with the "only LSU comes close".
This. But to be honest, I had zero knowledge about South Carolina's baseball history being that fantastic. So I will tip my cap to them being one of the premier programs in the conference and the better as of late.
That being said, I wouldn't trade LSU's program accomplishments with their's.
But going forward it's all about the here and the now and both programs are on level footing as far as that goes.

Very much looking forward to it.

Much respect to the only two elite college baseball programs.
The rest of us are nowhere close. Seems a lot like basketball.

Can we just trade CWS finals records? You'd still have six! Just four of them would be losses...
