Depth is what wins track championships...and again, it only is remotely interesting in the Olympics.

Sorry

If you're going to rail against shitty threads then jump in this one and say something like this then you're part of the problem

Come on Hogs. I admit 46 titles is impressive, but wthe majority of discussion in here is football followed by Basketball and Baseball. I have heard more about Womens softball and gymnastics than track...just saying. It kind of falls in the equestrian championship category of discussion or importance. Sorry hog bro's...#real talk

It would depend on the situation. At a school with an Elite FB program an Elite Track program may have a significant impact on FB thus making it a fair trade.

Although I'm an Arkansas fan and really wish we had some baseball titles, it's hard not to appreciate how remarkable Arkansas track has been. Several schools have a couple baseball titles. There isn't another school with as many titles as the men's Hogs track team.

Auburn Football NCs = 2
Auburn + Miami Basketball NCs = 0
Auburn Baseball NCs = 0
Auburn + Miami Men's Track NCs = 0

Arkansas Football NCs = 1
Arkansas Basketball NCs = 1
Arkansas Men's Track NCs in 29 years = 41

During the 90s, of the 30 possible national championships, Arkansas won 24 of them. There has never been that level of dominance by any team in any sport, ever

Nope

Wild Thang's never been anything but a problem on this site, it's amazing he was freed yet Pondwater Jack remains in purgatory.

I guess they've moved onto track again. Weren't they gonna be CWS champs three months ago? Guess they've given up on that?

by one championship

Arkansas' is 12

Arkansas NCAA Men's Indoor Track and Field: 20 - 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992^, 1993^, 1994, 1995^, 1997, 1998^, 1999^, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2013

If Arkansas won in 1996 we would've had 17 in a row.

I would take an SEC title in basketball, or a win over Alabama in football, over both.

There are only two SEC teams truly "qualified" to understand how hard it is the win a CWS. All other can merely speculate. LSU fans can speculate best....
