Adding weight was a problem for him here.

You may be thinking of me because I love bragging on him and I know I've done it here in the past.

Yeah I think it was you. He was the most underrated player on our 2011 team. Been watching some games from that season, he doesn't move. If you didn't put two guys on him, he was making a tackle.

So did Eddie Lacy. Lacy and Reid played together in high school.

Wouldn't mind seeing you do something on Bama's 2009 class.. It's got 3 Pro Bowlers off that team so far.. Dareus, Lacy, Julio and probably should have had 4, with Carpenter this year, he got jobbed.

Where are they now?
Well, the ones on the Broncos and Seahawks are probably practicing.

The rest of the 20 or 30 -odd Tiders or Tigers are in line at their respective banks (unless they own it, then they don't have to stand in line.)

Those defenses were otherworldly.

I agree 100% with this. People who talk about that 1/9 game being boring must not understand football. That was one of the greatest defensive battles I've ever watched. There were probably close to 40 NFL caliber players in that game just on the defensive side of the ball (27 listed in this thread + players coming out this year.)

Barron's gonna get there eventually. He's already one of the best run support Safeties, and his coverage improved a lot from his rookie season.

I think if Mark plays like he did this past season and actually gets enough touches (and stays healthy) he could get there. If Trent's vision ever improves (long shot) he could too.

A lot of guys, in another say two years, will be among the best in the NFL. Julio was the best WR in the league through the first however many weeks, but then he got hurt.

Hightower had 97 tackles, he really came on late.

Julio is top 5 but Megatron is the best in the league and the only WR that is even close is Josh Gordon.

A little recruiting tool for Coach Saban.

I'm talking about production wise through the first five or six weeks of the season. Julio was on pace to break Calvin's record.

Trey, I don't wanna derail this thread, but which WR/QB combo you think the Browns will find in this draft? I assume they're looking for a good #2 across from Gordon.

Also, what do you think happens at RB? Try for Tate? Draft someone anyway?

Yeah I misunderstood. FWIW I think Julio is 3. But Megatron and Gordon are both incredible. What Gordon did this year without a competent QB, any threat of a running game, and no other receiving threat was nothing short of amazing.

Well Jordan Cameron at TE, but I see what you mean, it was amazing.

It depends on if they have to trade up to get Bortles/Manziel. I would love it if they didnt have to and could grab Mathews at the end of the first round. This is really deep WR class, so they might wait till the second or third to scoop up another WR.

As for RB my guess is they draft a guy in the 3-5 rounds and make a run at Tate.

I wish they would move Greg Little to more of a RB/Percy Harvin type of position. He is a terror with the ball in his hands.
