ESPN article
Of the 22 defensive starters that night, 16 were selected in the NFL draft. Six other defensive players who played in the game were also drafted.

In a couple of years when the entire rosters are gone, it's gonna be crazy how many guys were on those teams that are in the NFL.

Amazing really. Beats 2001 Miami Ohio State

I've been saying for a while now those 2 defenses will be considered two of the most talented ever in 5-10 years. You have to consider most of the starters for the 2013 squads were on that roster as well. They will both be better than 2001 Miami's D. I don't think either offense will even come close to the Canes though.

And now that the pipeline is established, more and more nfl players will be from LSU and Alabama

Maybe if we combine em.

If we look down the roster:

AJ McCarron
Trent Richardson
Eddie Lacy
Jalston Fowler (as a FB I think he'll make a team)
Barrett Jones
Chance Warmack
DJ Fluker
Cyrus Kouandjio
Michael Williams (on IR now, as a blocking TE don't know if he'll stay on a roster)
Brad Smelley
DeAndrew White (if Kiffin can help him out, he'll be a beast. Amazing athlete, needs to fine tune his game as a WR.)
Kevin Norwood (his stock is flying up at the Senior Bowl)

That's all we've got. Christion Jones I'm on the fence about. Maybe as a return man, but I don't know if he'll make a roster.

So if you guys pitch in I think we could give the Canes a decent run for their money.

This is from earlier:

quote:

Reuben Randle - Will be Giant's #2 and looks pretty good
Chris Faulk - Browns T
Russell Shephard - Bucs
P.J. Lonergan - Bears
Spencer Ware - Seahwaks FB. Was getting PT before Injury
Michael Ford - Bears

I still don't think it can compete with 01 Miami. That offense was almost nothing but future NFL players, and most of them were starters.

If you want to know specifically where they are right now:

Josh Chapman: Fifth round pick, on Colts roster as backup NG

Is in Hoover for the offseason. I just talked to him 2 days ago.

I personally think those 2 teams would wipe the floor with those canes. Those defenses were otherworldly.

I bet he's a cool guy. Was it Chapman that somebody on here knew or something? Like was close friends with? It may have been Square.

My whole family has known Chapman since he was in middle school. Great guy.
You may be thinking of me because I love bragging on him and I know I've done it here in the past.

He started a few games when Sheard was out.

He had a pretty good rookie season. Needs to add weight so he doesnt get sealed on every outside run play. Also needs to develop pass rush moves. All he really has to this point is the speed rush, which gets him a sack every other game or so.

I thought whoever drafted him would just move him to LB. I think he'd shine in a 3-4 as an edge rusher. Regardless he needs to bulk up some for sure.

Eh.... Let's not

Why not?

He said include backups that played a bit

Zach Mettenberger
Jarvis Landry
Odell Beckham
Reuben Randle

Unless something has changed, that will be 4 2nd rounders on offense alone.

Thats where he plays for us. Although it looks like we are about to switch back to the 4-3.

Holy shite, very impressive on both sides.

Of course, both LSU & Alabama had to field two of the most dominant teams the same damn year
