Meh, they're a football school. The off season will prove me right.

Cal said after the game that this team doesn't yet understand that every game they play is the other team's super bowl. He's right. You have to outplay the other team, and they haven't done that now for 5 straight games.

Not taking anything away from Florida, they wanted it more, and dominated. This UK team is very immature, and when you couple that with the target of having this game circled on every other team's calendar, you have to come to play every night.

I doubt they figure this out before play comes to end in March.

Worst defensive effort I have seen from UK team in a long time particularly rebounding. When you let the opponent shoot 75% from the floor in a half you have got some serious defensive issues...

Egotistical and idiotic to compare playing UK with playing for a championship. If you can't get up for a game against a ranked team, that's pathetic character.

The proof is in the pudding. Most school's biggest crowds and "t-shirt games" come against UK.

Beating Kentucky in BB generally means you have a shot at winning a regular season championship. You're naive as hell to suggest it's just ego to say that UK doesn't typically takes everyone's best shot.

But the super bowl is a winner take all game, playing UK isn't unless it's in the Finals. I'd get this reaction if Kentucky lost to a shite team. That makes sense because they aren't going to the post season but this was Florida. It's a lousy excuse.

What poor rationale are you using that makes it a lousy "excuse" to say that this team needs to figure out it can't just coast on it's talent because they can beaten on any given night (and yes, that's still valid even with the Florida loss because of the Tennessee loss BTW)?

That's not an excuse, that's a reality.

To be fair, beating UF generally also means you have a shot at winning a regular season championship. No reason UK shouldn't be as motivated as UF in a game like this.

And that wasn't really a case of a significantly less talented team playing out of their minds and stealing a victory. That was an arse-kicking. UF is just a better team than Kentucky right now.

It is always fun to watch Kentucky vs. Florida because both teams have a rivalry in basketball and the winner usually wins the conference.
