I can't stop ours from wearing those abominations but I can add to your misery even if it means we have to listen instead of watch the game.

Bama's "houndstooth" looks like the starter logo. Just no.

And why is Mississippi States Mississippi bigger than Ole Miss' Mississippi?

If ETSU or MTSU wanted to fine. U of M is public university so they are also fine. Vandy is a private school and would only be doing so because we've been using it. Sorry no.

Wait, so Vanderbilt isn't allowed to use the state flag of the state in which they're located because they're a private school? As a TN resident I honestly don't know why you think there's some issue with that.

No doubt. I want to gouge my eyes out whenever I see that stuff and shoot whatever a-hole is manufacturing that eye poison. They're worse than meth makers. Real crime fighting would be busting up the manufacturer or importer.

Sure they can use the flag. Indicating their location. There's a difference between it and the tri-star.

It's simple:

Vanderbilt wouldn't be trying to be Tennessee. They'd be trying to be Vanderbilt and paying homage to their home state

Then use the flag not the tri-star.

It's a damn circle with three stars in it, if they want to use it then go ahead. But it would be stupid after we have already started using it. JMO.

so you'd be cool with it if it was red and blue but not gold and black. man, you must be really pissy about what the guys over at state traditions are doing

There's a difference between the state flag and the tri-star we've been using. If they want to celebrate the state so bad use the flag.

the University of Tennessee was not the first entity to market the tri star logo. I have a hat from a shooting club outside memphis that has been using the tri star logo since long before it ever showed up on anything UT related. People like it because it's simple, easily to transpose colors, and instantly recognizable as the centerpiece of the TN flag. TN football didn't even start using it until after the Volunteer Tradition guys started making bank selling TN flag merchandise.
