21-0 was the most disheartening loss in my lifetime

When Mike Dubose lost to USM 21-0, it was obvious beyond doubt that we had reached a level of suck unmatched since Ears Whitworth. Not only that, but we were under an NCAA investigation that we knew was serious (though we never expected to be "staring down the barrel of a gun").
No CFB coach has ever taken a blue blood program and destroyed it as thoroughly as Mike Dubose, and all the rationalizing and sunshine pumping had no answer when we started the season #3 and had become an utter shitstorm by the third game of the season. 21-0 to USM. My God, I still remember it.
Yet we still beat Ole Miss that year.

Good one. Not even Bama's loss to ULM was as bad as 1/9 for LSU. What's worse is that the bleeding is still ongoing because the choking in the final minute
