If they don't win a "chip" will that failure exceed the 2022 aggies? I believe ole piss has forked out more for this 2024 class than the aggies did for their 2022 class.

They've blown through all of their money to win this year. Lots of pressure.

They are selling their soul to win. That's great but if you don't build the right way with guys that are committed to the cause then you can lose the team and all of a sudden instead of 11-1 you are 6-6.

This year will tell you everything you need to know about LK.

So the coach who has been 2 years ahead of everyone else on the transfer portal is now spending wads of cash to win now?

We lost 2 players to Louisville last week because they offered more.

We have a collective that was a year ahead of most everyone else and a couple of big boosters who will help for the right player. This isn't some unsustainable thing. This is the new normal for Lane and Ole Miss.

What the heck is 'build the right way' in the portal era?

They won't even make it to Atlanta, let alone a "chip".

No one knows the grove collectives finances better than random state fans on anonymous message boards.

Mississippi state is a 5-7 team for the foreseeable future. The poorest program in the SEC.

We’ll most likely make the playoffs. Would you consider that a failure?

What if we won 1 playoff game? Still a failure?

You’re comparing us to the aggots, but not mentioning they won 5 games and 7 games after they bought their class. You are disingenuous, never went to LSU, probably haven’t been to an LSU game since the 90s, and probably grew up in some place like Jeanerette

How is it that you’re far more certain Ole Miss is a championship team this coming season than Ole Miss fans who realize our defense and offensive line need massive improvements?

For Ol Miss, simply making the playoff and winning one game would be a huge success.

For a successful program it would be a failure.

What's the bar for a "successful program"? I imagine there will be a quite a bit of failure seasons next year for those teams

At some point you have to evaluate a guys character and work ethic and the impact they will have in the locker room.

Yeah Lane learned that in 2022. He talked about how some of the portal guys caused problems and that led to the horrible end of the year. It worked a lot better in 23. It is almost like Lane knows what he is doing.

Their odds to win it all are similar to LSU and are behind UGA, Bama and Texas.

Vegas believes they will be in the mix but not expecting them to win it all.

Expectations should be tempered.

Uga +400
Bama +600
Texas +850
LSU +1400
Ole Miss +1600
