God this "SEC huurrr durrrrr" narrative needs to go. Yea they totally would have more losses in a much easier conference. They beat far and away the SEC's best team for frick's sake.

I guess they got a little better during the year and Alabama's qb got worse.

NC State missed a chip shot to win that game in regulation. It's funny to think that a kicker for NC State likely cost Alabama their 54th national championship.
it was more like NC State player targetted Gallman and knocked him out of the game early. Gallman fumbled it on that play after a big run. the backup RB later fumbled one on a good drive.
that nc state kicker was terrible all year for them. also, his previous FG attempt was blocked and that was in his head. lol

Not sure you want to play that card with Scarborough's injury. Just take your natty and enjoy it.

Is this the record for most one score games for a national champ?
Idk but that stat about them beating the last 7 National Champions will never come close to being topped. That is truly incredible.

not sure u want to play that card with McKensie Alexander not able to play in 2nd half last year, and that's when Bama hit the big plays down field. plus Mike Willimas and Cain didn't play.
Scarborough didn't give up 21 points in the 4th.

And nobody on this board is happier that Clemson won than I am. Frick Bama. But winning this league and playing for a title is more than winning the ACC and playing for a title. Of course any champ of a P5 could hang with anyone but that's not what I said. Clemson wasn't really that good on a week to week basis. They had some very close wins against very below average teams. Even Arkansas, who is at best 8th in the SEC took an ACC division champ to the ropes. I'm glad it worked out thery way it did. But I don't think there any way possible that Clemson, with that team, goes through the SEC without 2 losses. Could you just imagine if they played Bama instead of Auburn to begin the season? Wouldn't have been close.

I watched that game. Y'all had a lot more problems than Gallman being out. But, no hatin, they routed TF out of Bama's secondary. It was frickING GLORIOUS.

that was only due to turnovers, and penalities in some of the games like Pitt. NC State, Gallman was knocked out for game plus CLemson had 4 turnovers. Lville game, 5 turnovers, and i believe 4 of them were in 2nd half. lville had 99 snaps on offense in that game.

i get you are trying to take away from Clemson's wins.
i noticed that when Alabama squeaks out a 10-0 win against LSU, the alabama brown-nosing did not end. nobody was saying they would not win the title.
winning games despite mistakes is what made this CU team so great.

this is the most delusional comment that i've seen on here.
what two teams in SEC had both a good offense and defense to beat CU? CU went 3-0 against the SEC.
i would have loved for CU to play Bama in Hurts first game at QB. lol

This is the problem I've always had with clemson they have been thinking they were good since they hired bowden.
Now that they finally won a nc for the first time in almost 4 decades. They are non stop talking shite. Where were these fans when usc beat yall 5 years in a row? They are becoming worse than bama fans.

Every team has injuries. You're making an excuse for why your team almost lost to NC State.
Scarborough's injury was more important than McKenzie Alexander's injury last year. Cain didn't play because he got suspended. That's no ones fault but his own. Eddie Jackson was a big loss for Bama this year. It happens. No reason to try and make excuses about it.
Just enjoy your victory. Life's a lot more fun that way.

It's funny that you guys converting a 4th and 25 last year likely cost Clemson the 2016 national championship.
Why hasn't Ole Miss gotten the death penalty yet?

Turnovers and injuries are many times reasons for a loss.
You got lucky he missed a chippy.

given he was a terrible field goal kicker, i don't know that it was luck.
and the missed FG didnt lose the game for them. they lost in overtime.
