Is this the record for most one score games for a national champ?

Auburn 19-13
Troy 30-24
Louisville 42-36
NC State 24-17 OT
FSU 37-34
Lost to Pittsburgh 43-42
42-35 Virginia Tech
35-31 Alabama

cliffs: Alabama sucks

that was only due to turnovers, and penalities in some of the games like Pitt.

NC State, Gallman was knocked out for game plus CLemson had 4 turnovers.

Lville game, 5 turnovers, and i believe 4 of them were in 2nd half. lville had 99 snaps on offense in that game.

I think that's gonna be typical of Clemson with Dabo. Similar to Les and other player's coaches. Always play down (or up) to your competition.

how do the blowouts against Cuse, BC, and SC work into your narrative?

no coach has control over turnovers, which includes crazy ones off of a tip ball.

Given UTs pathetic performance this year, I suspect your team wouldn't have beaten any team on that list. Try qualifying for the Natty before embarrassing yourself with such a pathetic post. OBTW Congrats on beating Nebraska in that inconsequential bowl this year. Keep dreaming of better days.

Clemson was a fluke. Lucky they weren't 8-4 this year

Dude, walk and never speak of it again.

The crying is unbecoming...But for Dabo.

lot of y'all said CU wouldn't beat OSU or Bama b/c CU was in close games with Troy and NCSU and lost to pitt.

then lil ol Clemson went and won a natty and broke some hearts with a clutch dagger.

LSU had 6 one score games in 07 prior to the championship game. Clemson had 7 before the championship game.

2010 Auburn had 6 wins of 7 points or less. One at 8 points. Zero losses.

But they didn't. They won. You know, the thing that champions do.... you may have forgotten about that being a Tennessee fan

they only beat....Clemson....by 3 points in overtime, after being down 0-17 in the game. our QB got rocked after Clemson got up 17 and was off on his passes the rest of the game.

Exactly. Unless we're talking about all time greats, all that matters is the W.

And no teams this season were an all time great.

Do you really want to play what if? I can show you some would-be losses. You take homerism to a new level.

based on QB stats in title games, Watson had the best QB performance all time this year. And 3rd all time last year.

turnovers matter a lot in football. bama was only in game with CU b/c of two really bad turnovers by CU on their side of the field.
