Then again everyone hates my numbers posts so I'm probably the only one.

i don't mind yours and i don't mind this one, i just think the title was misleading and i also don't care for folks making broad assumptions because people comment on a thread (not you again).

We are getting overhyped to hell this offseason

It needs to slow down or this football season won't be much fun.

By the time the season starts you guys are going to have full on Peyton Manning era-esque expectations.

It would be interesting to retrospectively go back to last season, do this same thing and then see how it lines up to the final rankings.

I just did that for Alabama and LSU alone.

Bama's offense scored better last year than this. Defense scores much better for 2015.

The defense scores better this season in large part because the returning guys are given a slight boost for being older.

QB/RB score about the same. WRs score much, much lower than last year. OL scores better this year.

Defense scores better for 2015 than 2014 across the board.

Overall, 2015 scores better than 2014

LSU's offense score much better for 2015. Better QB score, better WR score. Lower OL score however. Defense is only slightly better in 2015 than 2014. Overall, LSU's 2014 score would put it 11ish using 2015 teams' score. No kidding, ESPN FPI had LSU 11th last preseason.
