That is the typical wishful thinking by those who have been grinded. "Well, we lost to Moo U, but they are just having a once-in-a-generation season, and will soon be bottom feeders again."

Well, its ain't happening. No, I don't expect MSU to be as good next year, particularly if Dak goes pro, but I will still expect them to win 8 or 9 games. These Seniors who are leaving are all from Mullen's worst recruiting class ever. Almost all of them redshirted, developed, got significant playing time over the years, and are now mature and experienced.

And the class behind them? More talented, and most of them redshirted, developed, and got significant playing time. Same for the class behind them. Even MORE talented. Rinse and repeat.

I agree that losing Day and Beckwith is concerning. Day has been starting at center for over 3 years, and his backup is Beckwith. I actually think the defense will be better. The real key is whether Dak goes pro.

ETA: If Dak goes pro, MSU will lose 10 starters on offense alone.

We lose like 3 OL's and 1 WR. We have the best JUCO WR in the nation coming in with 3 years to play, and Dak isn't going pro, he isn't ready. This team isn't going anywhere on offense, arguments could be made for defense but if you think there is a huge slump you're just flat out wrong.

This is actually spot on. The somewhat wild card is aTm with Kyle Allen now getting solid experience and the kid shows some serious talent.

State and Ole Miss are going to have a bad hangover.

Auburn's system alone keeps them from having the MS Effect. Arkansas is on the edge of success and next year they come into their own to a degree.

As long as Saban is coaching Bama and the recruiting keeps its pace, they will always be 1a or 1b.

Not according to Dak himself......you should check your sources.

MSU is losing the core of their lines along with what is the likely Heisman winner. Yea, nothing to see here

Dak isn't leaving. This sounds like the argument last year of 'state is losing their best pash rusher', and we have more sacks right now than we did all of last season combined.

Ole miss, auburn, Alabama replacing quarterbacks.

And LSU is returning theirs yet all schools mentioned above will get more production out of their quarterback. Just because one team has a player returning doesn't mean they have an advantage at that position over another team with a new guy stepping in.

Alabama returns 8 starters on an already nasty defense

Fee better now? I know 2014 is disappointing for you, especially facing the prospect of losing the last three games and finishing 7/5 -But everyone else is still enjoying the current season.

I don't know if it's possible or not, but meeting Ole Miss in Atlanta would be epic.

2015 Predicted SEC west finish
I'll wait to predict Auburn's season, I need to see who all leaves...

If Auburn miraculously returns Duke Williams, Sammie Coates, Cass McKinzy and Kris Frost - I'll feel really good about next season.

you might not have noticed through your purple and gold glasses but LSU is now tier 2 in the SEC west and well on their way back to tier 3. Quit living in the past bro
