If Southern Miss, WVU, and Florida were as good as they were 2 or 3 years ago, Bama might've had a shot at the #1 SOS ranking.

I'm really surprised at how Souther Miss and WVU imploded over just these last two seasons.

We have no idea what WVU is going to be. Florida could be improved. These things are more stupid than pre-season polls.

Losing Larry Fedora and hiring Dana Holgorsen will do that to you.

It's the Bama curse. We schedule Michigan and they come in ranked in the top ten only to finish the season unranked.

Bama schedules Virginia Tech after a Sugar Bowl appearance and they then crap themselves the next season.

Bama schedules WVU coming off of the beatdown of Clemson. They suck arse after that.

I fully expect Wisconsin to tank this season to continue the trend

I don't see how Bama, who has to play Auburn, top 10 at least, and LSU, can be that low. All SEC west teams should at least be in the top 30. Arky and MSU can't bring down the SOS of the other top West teams, who have to play each other, that much.

WVU suddenly went back to sucking, Florida had a weird season last year.

We can't risk ruining our bowl streak. Vandy is the state of Tennessee's only hope for post-season football, college or NFL.

Thank God this bullshite will be over in a few months

I wouldn't hold your breath. Mason is an excellent coach.

I think you all are still a year away. Or do you think Memphis or UTC make respective postseason? The Titans are still sunk.

Arkansas and Mississippi State can't be helped because they are in the West. LSU and Auburn will more than likely both be Top 10 (maybe even Top 5) teams. Who knows what Florida is going to do this year? They were 11-2 two years ago before tanking last year. Ole Miss will probably be a Top 25 team this year. Texas A&M will take a step back but will probably still be a formidable foe. Tennessee should make a bowl this year unless Butch Jones really sucks. Southern Miss went to shite after we scheduled them, so did West Virginia.

I think it's a decent schedule, all things considered. But apparently no one else agrees.

#5? even with playing LAMAR?

Having South Carolina and Missouri as the east opponents definitely inflates the SOS.

Most have Auburn in the top 10, if not the top 5. Auburn is the only good thing Bama has going on their SOS. LSU will even be lower.

I actually agree. Bama's strongest OOC team will be lucky to win 5 games next year and just about every other in conference team except the ones in Mississippi, are rebuilding.

People are sleeping on Miss St though. They had a decent defense last year, and they bring back almost everybody on offense except for Perkins (and I think maybe one more). Dak with a year of experience should make them a tough contender for the West. Ole Miss brings back a decent team on both sides minus their top two performers at their positions in Scott and Moncrief.
