We can't risk ruining our bowl streak. Vandy is the state of Tennessee's only hope for post-season football, college or NFL.

Would like to see a comparison of last year's pre-season SOS and how the teams actually ended up.

Nothing like a preseason SOS ranking. Just look how accurate it was last year.

So they're basically going to do the same with this as with the BCS........make it a beauty contest........there's no way to tell how good all of the teams on a schedule will be so how can they put a strength of schedule out before games played????

Just curious if anyone has devised a ranking of SOS that hypothesized a team playing against itself.

For example, if Alabama had to play Alabama, how would its strength of schedule improve?

If Arkansas had to play Arkansas, how would its SOS be weakened?

How the hell is this even possible for SEC teams?

You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

LSU has to play 2 of the top 5 teams in league (in terms of SOS). Those two teams had losing records in 2013.

LSU succeeded in 2013, and those two teams failed. Now that they have to play each other, those two teams get recognition for their "strength of schedule" and LSU gets singled out as one of the lower ranked teams?

I don't see how Bama, who has to play Auburn, top 10 at least, and LSU, can be that low. All SEC west teams should at least be in the top 30. Arky and MSU can't bring down the SOS of the other top West teams, who have to play each other, that much.

Still, most teams don't play 2 top 10-15'ish teams. Definitely not anyone in the 90+ range. The only thing the SOS can be based off of now is who they play and how hard those teams' SOS are. Arky and State can't hurt that much when they play a hard schedule.

Most have Auburn in the top 10, if not the top 5. Auburn is the only good thing Bama has going on their SOS. LSU will even be lower.
