Arkansas fans have already insisted time and again that they want him back even if he goes 0-8 again.

They have remarkably low standards.
They just think he will make them like Bama given time because his style is Defense and power run like Saban. They just don't realize that you need alot of talent for that and that he won't get it there. They will get tired of losing after about 2 or 3 more years.

Petrino could actually coach. Bielema is just a fatass.

Not with a dominate Defense and plain Offense. Arkansas' success in the SEC has mostly came from Offense and outscoring teams.

It seemed like they were constantly throwing hell-arse-Mary's in the fourth quarter trying not to lose. They never could control the pace of the game.

Talent alone won't do it-- that's the style Muschamp has and Florida is at worst the 3rd or 4th most talents team in the SEC and he's 200 or so says from being unemployed-- Bert just sucks, maybe he should go back to being a 2nd tier couch in a 3rd tier conference. Purdue would probably keep him in donuts for decades and he'd get to live in the Midwest where his god-- High Fructose Corn Syrup-- is born.

Muschamp might get fired mid season, look at Florida's schedule:

Sat, Aug 30
vs Idaho
vs E Michigan
vs Kentucky
@Alabama
@Tennessee
vs LSU
vs Missouri
vs Georgia*

@Vanderbilt
vs South Carolina
vs E Kentucky
@Florida State

That five game block could be the end.

Also, this is the SEC, isn't every coach on the hot seat? Hell if Gus doesn't win 10 games he'll probably get canned,

Foley fired Zook after Miss St loss, but still allowed him to coach the rest of the reg. Season.

I've gotta say Derek Mason. Go from back-to-back 9-4 to 4-8 or 3-9 and there'll be some extremely disappointed people.

UF won't target Mullen. They didn't even consider him last time.

The only coach in the sec UF would likely target is Malzahn. Gus will get a nice raise out of it.

O line talent, which we're getting.

The collective SEC is so scared of a resurgent Arkansas that they make up these silly scenarios like you need #1 recruiting classes to run the ball.

Only a 1.4 million buyout if the choose to get rid of him....
He had never finished higher than 4th in the west, he has never won 10 games, he is 22-17 over last 3 seasons.... At least Croom finished 3rd one year and he inherited a worse situation IMO....

Croom played in the SECwest before it was the SECwest. And that's the buyout if he chooses to leave -- which is completely different from the buyout if he's fired.

Patience grasshopper. We'll start to see what he's built at MSU come to fruition this year.

So he has 2 buy outs? Article on extension say nothing about 2 buyouts...

Mullen's four-year deal is worth $10.6 million with a $1.4 million buyout, a significant bump from his previous deal worth $1.2 million a year. Although the new contract is subject to the approval of the state College Board, most of Mullen's salary will be paid through donations to the private Bulldog Foundation.

Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen has agreed to a new contract that will pay him an average of $2.65 million over the next four years.

The $10.6 million deal has a $1.4 million buyout, according to MSU spokesman Joe Galbraith. The contract is subject to approval of the state's college board, though that confirmation is usually a formality.

No- he has one buyout- the one he has to pay to get out of it. That high buyout was done to show his commitment to Miss State. It's gonna cost someone to hire him away

If we fire him- he gonna be rich bitch...
