LSU will only be top 10 preseason if Freak and Ego return.

I imagine Georgia will start in the 12-15 range. We'll have a stout offense. Defense needs to improve though.

Yeah, can't judge the guy. A big paycheck is hard to turn down. Might get hurt next year. But Ego and Freak still need some work.

Dunno, and don't care. Auburn proves it doesn't really matter any more if you're unranked in the preseason anymore.

BTW, I wouldn't pick either D-lineman higher than the 4th round, and they could better that with good senior season. Why is everybody so insistent every junior at LSU must leave? It's not like they're gonna turn into pumpkins. Yeah, I know, "play for the second contract"; but you also have to make a first impression in college. A lot of these guys haven't done that yet.

No one is. Miles has talked to them about prior draft failures. But Coach started the ball rolling earlier when he spoke of recruiting guys for '3&out' and planning accordingly. I think this was a mistake he is now realizing. You can't depend on 'bumper crops'. For every Patrick Peterson there's 10 that aren't.
That being said, it's hard to tell a kid that's poor 'hold off on that big check'.
