We were 18-30 in the 4 years prior. Success vs improvement? Interest is higher than I have seen in my lifetime, expanding a very old stadium, getting us to bowl games. Satisfied? Probably never. Like the direction. Better than going backwards.

What success were fans hoping for? Do tell. I'd love to see examples. I've been on here for near five years now and the only consistent expectation I've seen is to get to bowl games and win on a consistent level. Seems like three straight bowl games and an overall winning record kinda meets that.

People were excited. Not that big of a deal. If Ole Miss went 7-0 you guys would be shitting your pants.

That's crap. I was here during the summer of 2009. Your fan base was as bad as any when y'all were drunk on Hootie.

We were also plagued with injury that year.

Well at least in our down years from the 9 win season we didn't go 4-8 and 2-10 the following 2 years. Unlike some other University in the state....

Ole Miss and A&M were a lot better later on than during the early part of the season. At that point every game outside of Bama and LSU looked reasonable.
