2015 represents an uptick of sorts.

If anything...it is way down. You kidding me?

Of the 4 seasons that Missouri has been in the SEC, 2012-2015...2013 was the strongest. 2015 is easily the weakest in that time span.

I feel I'm just of a different mindset. The greatness of the conference didn't just start during a January game in 06 it had been building and was finished building before that

Just as I think the sec is way overrated now and not even the best conference. ESPN can say what they want, but they were late to the party as was a lot of their audience. Now the party is over, and that audience is oblivious to the fact that all the cool people

An uptick over the last few seasons in terms of depth and quality teams

The physicality is gone, the party is over. In no way does the sec resemble the sec that made it a national powerhouse and a winner of however many straight title games

No one

Go look at the pros sent by the sec at the time and the longevity and success they had. The sec used to be built on defense, line play and even fullbacks.

In 2005? you're wrong. Go look on the Texas and USC rosters their nfl level talent on defense, on the lines, and hell even at full back if your going to mention it. Both Texas and Usc had the first 2 fullbacks drafted in 2006.

They were better than every SEC team and would have gone undefeated in this league. SO no you're smoking something funny and yes they would have both handled the SEC that year

I get that many of you either just started watching after 06 or take your opinions from ESPN to the grave. Bama or lsu could have and likely would have beaten either participant.

Reggie bush and Vince young...meet demeco ryans

The day before Florida played Ohio state with Ted Ginn, beanie wells and Troy smith, id have been laughed out of the building if I told you Florida would kick the shite out of them. People were saying it for a few years and when the sec went to bat, they hit it out of the park as many had said for years. No surprise to anyone who watched lsu' defense shutdown a historically great OU offense that was better than USC's offense by virtue of production, schedule and experience. 2003 Reggie bush =\= 2005 Reggie bush

Alabama barely beat texas tech in the cotton bowl that year. Texas dropped 52 on them and won by 35.

As a big demeco Ryans fan myself. No his defense and team wouldn't have had a chance

They were within a red count hair of losing at Blacksburg.

They were a great team, but their aura is because of the success a lot of those players have had in the pros. They weren't being called the GOAT back then. They also had quite a close call against BC that year.

UF wasn't beating Miami in 2001. 70 per cent of Gator Nation concedes that.

Texas also played Ohio St and destroyed them.

LOL. Yeah a 25-22 game is considered destroying someone. Come on at least get your games right. And years. 2008 Ohio State at Southern California was a blowout. USC 38-3.
