If you could go back, would you trade TAMU and Mizzou for Clemson and Florida State?

Absolutely not.
If we hadn't absorbed A&M, then they go undefeated in 2012 and beat the dog piss out of Notre Dame. Bama misses out on the Natty.
Although if we had taken Florida State instead of Missouri, then the streak could still be alive. All in all it's better to have the expanded tv market though. It's already hard enough to recruit against FSU without them being able to claim they're in the best conference in the sport.

Been wanting TAMU for years and Mizzou is OK besides some of their fans on here.
In a perfect world, Texas A&M and South Carolina were in the old SIAA, so picking up an old SIAA team in VA or NC would have been cool too.

A&M and Mizzou are family now. You don't trade family.
Eta: I sometimes complain about AU and LSU - inside the family - but they are always welcome at Christmas.

SEC expansion was done for ONE REASON...to increase conference revenue for all of us. Adding Mizzou and Texass A$M has put us on the road to great increases in revenue as our conference footprint greatly increased. Clemson and F$U would have brought the SEC not one more dollar or at least nothing significant financially.
