Honestly at this point he is less a recruiter for us and more a figurehead- a guy someone can use to recruit.

He'll be fine if y'all give him enough time. There are legitimate gripes about his on-field coaching, but his defenses overall have been stiff, and with Texas talent, he'll be able to field defenses roughly approximate to LSU's. Recruiting might not be his passion, but he's being paid a lot of money to at least interact with the recruits, and he'll do that as needed, especially since he'll want to validate his decision to make a completely lateral move.

When you keep losing games in the last 2:00 minutes of a ball game you will figure it out

Lulz indeed. I mean, I'm not privy to the private joke you have going on inside your head, but it's only good manners for me to laugh along with you.

Thank you for the positivity, but no he won't. I don't expect a top 20 defense the entire time Chavis is here unless Sumlin completely changes his O Spurrier style. We don't need LSU'S defense, because we do expect excellent QB play every year. We just need top 50ish.

I do agree though that hopefully he burns the candle at both ends to justify his move. It is either that or he mails it in and retires. We will see.
