Interesting that the BB gun itself is not a felony weapons charge in Gainesville (like it is at UGA)
its not a UGA thing, its the way the law is written in the state of GA

Why are some football players so stupid?
Posted on 7/18/16 at 9:20 am to volfan30
Dumb but understandable with young wild guys. This should not be considered felony weapons charges; it was fireworks for crying out loud. Two of our guys got busted for shooting BB guns in the dang dormitory.

Reinstated after speaking with Saban and realizing cops were fans of another school.

That's pretty stupid. Definitely looking at at least a suspension, and probably will miss Fall camp now while they sort out the legal issues. Neither will probably play this year now.
Too bad, everyone was excited to see Cleveland on the field.

"missile into dwelling" Wow using the big guns

If this really was a BB gun, they should immediately downgrade this to a misdemeanor. Jeeze.
Pay restitution, and a fine, and be done with it.

Sounds like Arkansas dodged a bullet with Cleveland, or should I say a BB.

The real question is why are we still making BB guns that look just like real guns?

Yeah, I probably could have worded that differently, I was simply referring to the most recent instance of BB guns generating felony charges there. The statement was still accurate, as UGA students are of course held accountable for Georgia law and of course UGA doesn't levy felony charges, but I digress.

Yep, with the way UF has treated the whole Callaway situation (which should've been resolved months ago), there's no way these guys play in all likelihood.
I'd bet one or both will transfer.

I figured that they'd have more than one wide receiver rated as a five star. That's kind of odd.
Agreed. Wasn't doing it to be a dick, just clarifying. The #2 receiver in the country is still the #2 receiver, regardless of stars. My comment about being highly rated was simply agreeing, not inferring he's the "best" guy Mac has brought in.

Is this our first arrests of the off season? I can't remember anyone else.

I can't get past the usage of the word "missile". I get that it's meant like "projectile", but I had the mental image of one of these guys pulling out an RPG and blowing up a building.

Already had Wells taking the blame.

They will get their charges reduced. I don't think they skate with Coach Mac though. They will have some punishment. A game or two. Lots of stairs. Who knows. It won't be a free pass like in Tallahassee.
