Fact: Your OOC SOS is 254

Fact: The SEC schedule is what brings it up into the 150's

Fact: We have no control over how well our OOC opponents turn-out to be. Traditionally, and projected, it was supposed to be a respectable OOC schedule. We've beaten everyone we were supposed to beat - teams who beat other teams who they were not supposed to beat.

Fact: The SEC schedule has not really helped us thus far. It may, eventually, but at this point the only thing that matters is that we keep winning and then do well in the tournies.

I'm assuming by your name you're an Arky fan so let me lay some truth on you.

Fact: Arky has a respectable SOS.

Fact: That SOS doesn't help you if you can't beat anyone.

Fact: You have beaten ONE team in the top 100. We are 7-1.

Fact: You can try again, but you will still look dumb.

Nothing about USCe's OOC would ever be considered respectable.

And yes, the SEC schedule is the ONLY thing helping you schedule wise.

Your SOS is 254 without the SEC.

Really?

Arkansas is 9-9 on the season. Nobody is claiming they're good. Thing is, South Carolina still has to go there and play...so, you might want to zip that cock holster of yours.

?? Point to where we were claiming we were going to win it all or Final 4 or even Elite 8.

We are 17-1, we beat most of the teams we should've beaten. We are happy with that. This year, during the pre season, we were just hoping to take another step forward and make the NIT. Now it looks like we are a NCAAt team and we're excited about it.

In 2013-2014, Florida finished 36-3 and had an 18-0 record in conference play, the first team ever to do that.

29-2 regular season, SEC Tourney Champs, and a final four appearance.

Better than any feats Carolina will accomplish this year.

Definitely one of the best in school history. Right up there with the back to back championship teams.

Four straight appearances in the Elite 8 or better. Just couldn't seem to finish the mission. But still one of the best teams to not win a championship ever b

Right now the highest RPI team you've played is bama which you beat you by 23 pts. The only decent win you have is Vandy. The only games you have left against anyone in the top 60 is bama, uk, atm, fl, and arky.

If you don't win any of those you will be 25-6 and 0-6 against the top 60. Which would make you a bubble team at best for the NCAA

All of what you said is true, except for Arky being a top 60 team. aTm we are all basically writing off as a loss. The rest are at home. Granted they are good teams, but all of their losses have come on the road. I'm in no way saying we beat UK AND FL but I think we take one of those games.

I believe the only current SEC teams to go undefeated in conference play are Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas (SWC), and Mizzou (Big 8). Though I admit I am not going back to 1935 or something where somebody won the Mountain State conference.

We'll let you know when we play one. Everyone talking trash about the SOS and not saying anything about the majority of the SEC being a reason why our SOS is so weak.

Tennessee's first loss in 2007 came to #15 Texas. During their first 18 games, they also won at Gonzaga (who finished at #20 in the AP), at Xavier (who finished 14-2 and made the Elite 8 that season), West Virginia (who made the sweet 16 that season), Temple (who finished 11-5 that season and won the Atlantic 10 tournament).

That sounds a little tougher than USCe's OOC schedule so far this season....but sure...your schedule is weak because the SEC is weak.

I don't remember Alabama's best start, but under Anthony Grant, in year 3, we started 8-0 and finished the OOC 11-3. Beat Purdue, Oakland (made the tournament previous year), Maryland, Wichita State, and VCU. Then of course it went down hill after Georgetown beat us at home on a buzzer beater and stopped our long home-game winning streak, got beat bad I'm Dayton, then owned at Kansas State. After that we beat Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech.

Then of course won the first two in conference and lost the next 4.

I was talking about how weak the SEC is this year outside of the top 4 teams... but sure.... you can use past performance to ridicule present SOS

The Aggies' 16-2 record is the second-best through 18 games in school history, trailing only the 1919-20 team which went undefeated 19-0 for the year.

A&M reeled off 4 straight Southwest Conference titles from 1920 to 1923. So I guess they were a regional power back then. That was long before the NCAA tournament, so who knows how good they really were.

They were coached by Dana X. Bible, who was also a pretty good football coach.

Too bad Arkansas didn't have a basketball team during that time.

It's a good achievement that Ark and Mizz went undefeated in their conference, but what does that have to do with the SEC?
