Last year Kentucky went 38-1 after going 13-0 in the non conference and 18-0 in the conference. Kentucky also went 3-0 in the SEC tournament so Cocks would need to at least get to the NCAA tournament to even make a dent on what Kentucky did just last year.

I don't think the odds are in are favor to go 39-1, but the road starts here.

6 is a lot less than 17. Seriously, has aTm ever started 17-1 or better in bball?

LSU won the SEC with a 17-1 record one year, Sparky. Tigers started out 27-1.

Not SEC, but I have pieces of paper from two schools that have done at least 17-1.

Most of our teams have been higher than 5-7 seeds, which is what South Carolina is predicted to be right now, even at 17-1.

Actually, I'm pretty sure South Carolina has been a higher seed than 5, haven't they?

Started 25-1. I believe USCe didn't reach double digit wins that season. Par for the course I guess.

And these pee-brained weirdos wonder why I troll the shite out of them on a regular basis. This is one of hundreds of similar threads regarding an undefeated or _-1 record. Your SOS is in the 200's. You'll be a 1 seed in the NIT. That's actually a program changing season in Columbia. Tip of the hat to you guys. Well done

And 4 is less than 6.

And 1 is more than 0.

And #8 is better than #18

Lets see...best starts in Arkansas history

1925: 23-1
1927: 19-1
1929: 17-1
1940: 15-1
1976: 26-1
1977: 25-1
1982: 24-1
1989: 20-2
1990: 23-1
1994: 24-2
1998: 14-2

Thing is, Arkansas has always scheduled pretty reputable OOC opponents.

In the last 10 years A&M has done. 16-2, 15-1, 14-1, 16-1, & 16-2. Its fairly common for a lot of programs.

Those are a lot of great starts, so 1994 is the answer to the OP.

That's really good info, but we still don't know about 17-1 or better yet from aTm.

That 1998 team that started 14-2 had wins OOC over Missouri and Louisville. So the OOC strength was there, when comparing to what your team is doing this year.

It isn't all about the record. It is about who you play.

In 1995, Arkansas started the season 15-3, with a loss at UMass OOC but OOC wins over Oklahoma, Georgetown, @Missouri, Cincinnati, and Iowa.

So relatively speaking, the 1995 start and the 1998 start, are better than your teams start this season.
