Miami

I don't see the SEC offices ever considering Miami. They have a really small alumni base and don't come close to selling out home conference games. I think their tickets start at $20 on top of that.

Yeah, they only get like 50 somethin thousand a game. That's not much more than what Stanford averages.

Miami doesn't really fit in too well. They have horrible attendance, would be 2nd to last in the SEC, Vandy would probably be higher then them if they had a bigger stadium.

I think expansion would have to be into new states like Texas, North Carolina, or Virginia.

For LSU to come in and rape Houston recruiting after applying a convincing win (after win, after win....)? They vote yes.

Why do Aggy fans vote yes?

I was thinking they would bring TV revenue from Miami and South Florida, which would be huge...but maybe not?

I'll bite...

FSU, GT, Clemson, and Louisville seem like good draws if we were ever to expand.

It will never ever EVER EVER EVER happen though.

What divisions would you put them in and would these teams increase TV revenue much?

West.....................East
LSU.....................Florida
Arkansas................Georgia
Ole Miss................Tennessee
Auburn..............S. Carolina
Alabama.................Kentucky
Nebraska..................Clemson
Texas...................Florida State
Texas A&M...............N. Carolina

what I did was drop Miss St. from the West to counteract the East losing a team, and added Nebraska to offset the Clemson addition. Was going to add Oklahoma but I think that would tip the scales too much.

I also changed Miami to Florida State because I think they just "sound" more like an SEC team and they have a bigger rivalry with Florida.

Ok I'll play. My dream Super SEC would look like this:

West.....................East
LSU.....................Florida
Arkansas................Georgia
Ole Miss................Tennessee
Nebraska..............S. Carolina
Oklahoma.................Kentucky
Miss. State..................Vanderbilt
Texas...................Auburn
Texas A&M...............Alabama

I don't hold with SEC founders being kicked out.

No not really. ATL is already an SEC market. Tallahasse is 2 1/2 times bigger than than Gainesville, but the panhandle is already an SEC market.

We are the SEC! We do not need other teams to make us stronger, as we are the undisputed king of the hill. We have absolutely nothing to gain by adding other members.

I'd like to keep the SEC "southern". So...no Texas.

I would add Georgia Tech, Clemson, UNC, and FSU.

WEST:
LSU
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss St.
Arkansas
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

EAST:
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky
Clemson
FSU
UNC
Georgia Tech

how about an SEC "North/South" conference?

North:
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
USCe
Alabama
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Clemson

South:
LSU
Auburn
Mississippi State
Florida
UGA
Florida State
Miami
Georgia Tech

the south would OWN

Nice ideas from everyone. And while I know that Texas and TAMU will probably never join an expanded SEC, they would be my number one choices for two reasons:

1) The Dallas/FW and Houston tv markets,

2) It would kill off the SEC's biggest competitor

The south wouldn't own shite. How is bama in the north and barn in the south?

added Nebraska

I thought about them or Oklahoma, but didn't think they would add much in the way of TV revenue as compared to Missouri who would bring in St. Louis and the rest of the state. Also, adding Nebraska or Oklahoma would make the conference that much harder, so we need to make sure that the incomming team isn't too strong.

I also agree with this statement, but I put in Miami thinking they would add more to the TV revenue by adding the city of Miami and South Florida...but I could be wrong on who would bring more revenue.

I don't think either one would really do anything as far as TV revenue that Florida doesn't already deliver itself.
