We have a lot of good and successful people in MO, but we do also have a well documented meth issue in some parts of the state. Sometimes it shows.

Yeah, I might have overstated it. He'll get on the court, but I don't think his time on the court will be what he imagines it to be. He's a special player, for sure, but it seems to me the players UK draws are just a different level when it comes to pure athleticism.
And I don't blame him for going to UK. Hell, if I were that good and had UK offering me, I'd be stupid to not be tempted.

UK did start recruiting a juco shooting guard the past few months for the same incoming class after already having signed Devin, so that was pretty alarming I would think if you're Booker that they are already recruiting over you in the same class. Mizzou was recruiting the same kid, but he got busted on a police stop for smoking weed and I think both schools backed off of him, but still its a valid concern for Devin.

I understand and I don't think he is jealous, he just enjoys fricking with Kentucky fans. And I have to admit, I think he comes up with some pretty good one-liners.
Trust me though, Mizzou fans knows what Kentucky brings to the table, an historic basketball program. Personally, I dig shite like that as I'm more a traditionalist and old school.

Not an absolute answer, but it sure feels like a part of it is the emphasis on calling fouls this year. Maybe it just chews up a few extra fouls per half, maybe more, but it has to be in the back of a coaches mind that late fouls may cost players. Even if you pull even, if you are down bodies in OT you will get killed then.

FWIW if this season has shown anything, Cal will lengthen his rotation if he has the players that are willing to bust their asses and play every possession. See Dakari's increasing minutes (and starting today) and guys like Polson getting plenty of PT.
I think Booker will be fine if he's not afraid of some competition. Cal is going to recruit as much depth as he can at this point after 11-12 and with the inconsistent officiating.
