The last time Florida has played a non-conference regular season game outside the state of Florida. It was against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. 26 years later UF Michigan is locked in for a Saturday game Sept 2nd 2017 in the Advocare Classic in Arlington, TX.

Interesting fact. Even more interesting is Syracuse won, but Florida went on to win their first ever SECC not long after.

And yet we've played the toughest schedule in the country since then.

No one in the SEC plays an FSU caliber non conference opponent every season, no one.
SC can make that claim recently, with Clemson, but no other team can.

Unless there's a light drizzle that day.

You do have a point, but it all goes out the window, considering you play in the east...

Considering UF plays FSU every year, and FSU has been pretty damn good overall the past couple of decades, UF's non-conference credentials are better than most.

LSU tried to get a regular game with FSU and wouldn't even go to Tallahassee and realized it was a bad idea. Look at their record vs our little sisters. And only one of the games was @ FSU which is typical LSU only wanting to play people at home.

LSU got spanked

So after we beat Michigan handily will the people who bring this stupid stat up be satisfied?

I mean because if I look at Ranked OOC opponents played in the regular season over the last 10, 15. 20 or 25 years Florida's always pretty high up there but for some reason it doesn't count.

FSU-Alabama is supposed to be some big impressive move? We do that shite annually.

Apparently games against FSU don't count if they're played in the state of Florida. On the upside it does mean we're undefeated vs. the Noles with the only game being a blowout.
