Hey, I'm not gloating or calling out anyone that blasted us earlier in the past week. I'm just excited about our chances at this point in time. Bama normally doesn't send their AD on a plane without having some assurances that they are in a good position. I don't think anyone will argue that Bama has a boatload of money to spend, and has decided to back the Brink's truck up to Marshall's doorstep. And with Battle's background, I like his chances of closing the deal.
But like I said in the above post, I don't think it is a done deal by any stretch. I'm just finally excited about our chances to hire a top notch BB coach.

I still think it would take somewhere in the ballpark of $5 million to get him to jump to Bama and forego any so called blue blood jobs that might open up in the future. Now, that may be after bonuses and such, but I think your pockets have to be about that big.

That is probably just base salary. I bet once you add up all of the incentives it'll be closer to 4, or possibly over 4.
I'm pretty sure we are willing to go that far at least, whether or not it takes that much is another story.
