Porland is one of the sadest towns I have ever been to in this country. The number of homeless teenages is mind-boggling, and the weather is so depressing. If you head West it is nice, head east and you would think you were near Starkville.
First of all, your spelling is terrible. No wonder you can't get out of Gadsden.
A few posts ago, you said that Portland was nice, but now, since you can't defend the filthy backwater village you inhabit, you change your tune and spout nonsense.
By the way, Starkville > Gadsden, and it's not even close. Eastern Oregon (past Bend, which is beautiful and amazing) is pretty desolate and chock-a-block with crazies, but it's still better than Gadsden.

You must not have traveled very much. Most large cities in this country and even in other developed countries have problems with homelessness. This is especially true on the west coast, where laws are much more lax regarding homelessness. San Francisco also has a problem with homeless people. As does New York. And Paris.
If that's your dumb metric on a city's value then I don't know what to tell you, other than Gadsden sucks regardless of the number of homeless people there.

I think his point spoke less to how cosmopolitan Oregon is or isn't and more to its quantity of retarded homers who would pull a moral victory out of Auburn's loss last Saturday... A quantity which seems to go down the further you go from Gadsden.

I corrected my spelling before you posted this BS. Portland is nice in small portions. If you only visit it for a couple of days, you miss the drug scene and the homeless culture that thrives in the city. It is sad because it seems every West Coast Reject, ends up there at some point to be accepted by some part of Society. I actually live in Birmingham now, but I'm sure you have issues with this town also.

Bammers post more about Auburn than Auburn fans do about Auburn.

I told you in the title, I'm aubsessed. And I intend to be aubsessed for a LONG time after this Iron Bowl, so let's party.
Or, stated another way by my most eloquent Alabama colleague from earlier in the thread:
frick auburn.

I travel all over this country, so your point is full of shite. San Francisco has problems with the homeless, but the reason is they spend more on shelters and Food Kitchens then any city in the country. They actually attrack the homeless, where other cities try to work around them. The homeless in most cities on the East Coast and in the South are a result of our Mental Heath System. In California and Oregon, it is a lifestyle choice for the most part.

I can actually picture you riding around in a little clown car with "frick BAMMER" painted all over it.

All the clown cars in the state had the "Mullet A" flags and stickers hanging off them. So I did not what to be associated with them.

Sorry that we're a big city on the West Coast that provides a great deal of support for the homeless and transient. As for the drug scene, well, not all drugs are good. Some are great.
Congrats on moving to a halfway decent city. Birmingham has some pretty nice spots. But, you know what they say, "you can take the terrible ITAT poster out of Gadsden, but..."

I guess you figured the difficulty of a cross-country unicycle tour was worth not being associated with bammer.

I was in SF this past summer, and it is more than just support. It has become a lifestyle, the city motto needs to be "Do you want to bet, I know where you got your shoes". You know what I am talking about if you ever visited the West Coast.
You can move the redneck bammer out of the South, but he still wants to frick his sister, kill a tree or hump another team's fan in Kyrstals. RTR
