What makes you think that wasn't Tattooine? Not enough Tunisia, too much Colorado?

They cant film this stuff in the mideast anymore.

Sand People.

They walk single file to conceal their numbers.

Yes new planet….and they filmed in Abu Dhabi which actually IS in the Mideast as opposed to Tunisia which is Northwest Africa.

It's not as simple as that. I tookba class on the Middle East at UGA and they did include North Africa as a part of it and I agree with that sentiment. The real question is Pakistan middle eastern? It's an offshoot of India and it has major south west Asian vibes.

A coworker told me today if you were to take off a stormtrooper's mask they would all look exactly the same b/c they are all clones of Bubba Fet.

Holy shite!

I'll take the nerd bait - That was only true for the clone troopers, who were more accurately clones of Jango Fett, not Boba. Ep. II covers the fact that Boba wasn't chronologically manipulated to develop faster like the other clones. Having a "son" was one of Jango's conditions to participate in the Kamino project.

To my knowledge, they've never acknowledged when the transition from the Clone Troopers to volunteer/conscripted Stormtroopers began to occur.

But then you knew this already.

I really didn't know

Started the conversation by telling the guy I hope the new movie starts with Buba Fet crawling out of the throat in the desert

He said it was possible & then told me the clone story.. I didn't pay attention to the storyline in the past three movies b/c they sucked so bad

Well, we know that the clone facilities were knocked out at the end of the clone wars. And we know that the clones age very fast. And we know now to the new canonical books that once palpating took over, he started expanding at a massive rate into surrounding space, we can say pretty much that storm troopers were there the entirety of the empire.

Do you consider Buba Fet dead?

You obviously mean Boba Fett.

Bubba Fet never could land a good job and stayed on Tatooine mostly drinking beer and attending pod races. He has few junk racers in his yard and dreams of making a pit crew one day. I think he's on disability from the Empire.

He's also a big fan of the rebels and hangs their flag in the rear window of his land speeder....

....should I continue?

My theory is Buba Fet has spent several years being partly digested & he'll make it out by using the jet packs and then have reconstructed legs and be the next Darth Vadar trained only to kill Jedis

Obvious Jacket troll is obvious. My money's on a concurrent Sting Talk thread that points to the apparent "hypocrisy" of Dawg fans calling the Techies "nerds" when some of us could clearly SW-Geek many of them under the table.

Besides, Chrissy, your "Fett-uses-jetpack-to-escape-Sarlacc" theory was fleshed out in one of the companion Dark Horse comic series in the late '90s. (But not the robot legs thing. That was Maul in the Clone Wars cartoon,Yes?)

I feel like I am being unfairly judged in this conversation

I watched Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi when I was a little kid.

The next 3 movies later totally sucked

I've never read any Star Wars books

Prolly 97% of the world's population fall into the same Star War knowledge category as I do

Buba Fet was a bad motherfricker

Darth Vadar was a bad motherfricker

Yoda was a bad motherfricker

Last time I saw Buba Fet he fell down the throat of a giant sand monster to digest for 1000 years

Unless something happened with him during the newer movies that I slept through, I was hoping he would make a comeback

Do people already know what will happen in the next movie? It's following a comic book?

The extent of the Star Wars knowledge needed Chris:
