It's just a loss: LINK

quote:

Kentucky fans riot after Badgers pull upset

Also rioted after last years loss: LINK

quote:

Lexington official: 19 couch fires, 23 injuries, 31 arrests during riots following Kentucky's loss to UConn in NCAA Tournament finals

But yet these people did the same thing three years ago when they won: LINK

quote:

At least one person was shot and dozens arrested in Lexington, Ky., early this morning as University of Kentucky students celebrated the school's NCAA basketball championship win.

What the.....What?

But seriously, day to day crimes are awful and the subsequent arrests are due to multiple factors that are ever changing. The thing is in these cases... It is due to a basketball game. And the outcome of the game doesn't seem to change the fact that these people will destroy property and cause harm to others because of it.

i find things like this to almost be comedic relief for the day to day crimes. plus the police scanner thread a couple years ago was just downright classic. it's like their version of "the purge"

It's the Bama fans that cheer for UK basketball.

Don't talk about Alabama fans in the same breath with these people any more. We don't riot win or lose, and if we did there wouldn't be burning couches.

Yeah, you just poison trees at historic sites, shoot people because they aren't upset enough over losses, and shite like that.

I'd rather people burn their own couches.

I would say that those isolated incidents aren't any better. Especially murder. I'm fairly certain that no Kentucky fans were murdered because of the loss last night.

There were stabbings and suicide attempts last night, your fans overreacted.
