Isolated incidents are not good. But the acts of a deranged individual do not compare to rioting by a mob.

Check in if you team doesn't burn stuff and cause riots if your team loses the NC.

There's nothing wrong with it doesn't turn aggressive. On a primal level, it's understandable. Rituals are part of the tribal nature of mankind and at Kentucky, burning shite is spiritually cathartic. But there has to be some order to it or it can get way out of hand.

I just wish Hunter S. Thompson was still around to perhaps orchestrate the proceedings and give us some commentary.

As I woke up this morning I did imagine the night of a thousand burning couches.

Yes. I get it. These fans are primates. I mean primal.

This is true. And it's strange. But that doesn't mean that the ritualistic burning of Kentucky couches can't be connected somehow with our ancient emotional/spiritual psyche on some primal level. In case you haven't noticed, humans do some weird shite. We always have.

Hunter Thompson was a Kentucky native. If he were still alive, I'm sure he could have enlightened us by explaining this odd behavior in a much more creative and meaningful manner.

I live less then a mile from State Street. The way I describe it, it is Mardi Gras after a bunch of drinking watching a basketball game. Plus, the local media has cameras and are reporting the scene after big games. Of course, the college kids are going to give them a show, because the media is giving them an outlet to be seen.

Hillbillies should never be allowed to come within 25 feet of a couch while in possession of matches.

That's a pretty good description. For the most part, it just looks like a lot of people having fun.
