I had a HS buddy that wound up going to Auburn like me who held off til he got married for principled reasons. I respected him a lot for this but thought he was also an idiot.

Same. Only reason I would have had a regret is if I'd been dumb and had a kid or caught an STD. I told myself I was saving for marriage in high school, but when I got to college, I realized I just told myself that to rationalize why I hadn't gotten laid. College was fun.

Nah. Waiting for that too. It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination, especially a couple years in, friends who waited said it was well worth it so that makes it a little easier.
