SEC may have the best collection of coaches, but as a basketball conference, we still have a ways to go. From near the top to the bottom, we ain't that hot.

Well Cal is about to tie him in titles and has been to a F4 with 3 different schools.

Our coach has fricking parksinsons. We win.

That makes our coach even worse. Ours doesn't have a built in excuse and is still horrible.

So a guy who doesn't have as many sweet sixteens as a guy does Final Fours is better?

1. Donovan
2. Cal
3. Howland
4. Pearl
5. Barnes
6. Anderson
7. Kennedy
8. Stallings
9. Martin
10. Jones

He hasn't yet and those Final Four's from the other schools have been stripped. IMO, coaching UF to 2 national titles is superior coaching accomplishment to coaching UK to 2 national titles.

Even if Donovan's two titles came with the same group?

He wasn't implicated in either case.

Bruce Pearl just isn't that impressive to me. I would put Andy Kennedy in the top half of the league though.

Whether or not he was individually punished, is it not the least bit troubling that two of the 3 places he coached at had Final Four's stripped? I don't know how that can be ignored. At the end of the day, he was the head coach and under his watch multiple wins were vacated, that's on him.

Just ranking by who'd I want. Barnes has a better resume than Pearl as well.

Did any of you goons watch Howlands last 5 or so seasons at UCLA. Talk about underachieving with arguabley the most talented roster year after year. He is way overrated imho. Still top half of the league though

Yes, because he built the UF program to a point where it could compete and win national championships which I would rank above what Cal has done at UK. That is not to diminish what he has done, but I put more value into building a program from the ground up and then winning championships.
