yall had to have known this was coming bammers. the kid is a bad apple. cut your losses and move on. some swac school will take him just like isaiah crowell. i dont understand these kids who have an opportunity to play bigtime college ball and get a free college degree but cant keep out of trouble. makes me sick.

Ya, I am trying to get the UGA fans focused again, but they love them some Auburn.

I really blame allin for the shitty title of the thread. He actually thought he was being clever but ultimately derailed his own thread.

Am I the only entertained be seeing talk of this hurting Saban's legacy?

Like anyone will remember this when they think of Saban within 6 months to a year. Saban took a chance on a kid, that kid let him down. That kid shouldn't be on the team anymore. But all Saban did was give him a chance. I swear, some people are acting like Saban held the girl still while Taylor hit her.

As for Taylor, lock him up, let someone kick his arse, get him help. He doesn't need to be allowed onto another football team. He needs to turn his life around, I'm not sure that he will.

No this one incident doesn't change the fact that Saban has a history of giving thugs multiple chances if they are good.

i agree with you...cant blame saban for this kids stupidity, hes obviously got some mental issues. he will end up somewhere in the fcs level, he will play ball again, but damn he will realize one day in the next few years that he prob screwed himself out of an opportunity to make money playing ball or at least lost a hell of alot of money bc of his loss of exposure and all at an sec school. no way you blame saban for this kid. however, you have to admit that this kid was a long shot at best to keep him in line and saban wouldnt have given him a second chance if he wasnt a good player who could potentially help bama win lol

When Alabama this week signed Jonathan Taylor, a player dismissed from Georgia last summer and still facing a felony charge, Alabama athletic director Bill Battle said the Crimson Tide "thoroughly investigated numerous sources" concerning Taylor's situation.

Those sources apparently did not include Georgia head coach Mark Richt.

Asked this week whether Georgia coaches had talked with Alabama about Taylor, Richt told the Macon Telegraph, "I didn't get contacted." He did not elaborate.

but this is hilariously ridiculous.

I'm not gonna complain about second chances. Everyone, no matter what they do, deserves second chances. I'm going to start a religious debate, but that is what I believe God believes, so that is what I believe.

My problem with Taylor is that he got the extra chance and didn't make any positive progress. He's done.

But attacking Saban for giving the kid another chance is, in just my opinion, not fair to him.

I'm not sure if you're because you agree, or because you think it was stupid.

Either way,

It wasn't his second chance

Except in this case he went with an UGA title to get a dig in. It spiraled into an UGA vs Auburn shitfest, and Bama for the most part got a pass.

Third or fourth correct? Richt actually gave him a second chance at UGA if I remember correctly.

The bottom line is Saban would take anybody on his team that isn't currently in jail to help his team win. Whether they can legitimately quailfy accademically or not.

Jesus, UGA fans have some serious rustled jimmy syndrome regarding their lack of accomplishments since Reagan's first term.

I am sure they will all come out in force stating they would rather go 10-2 every year and not have shite to show for it rather than have crazy ups and downs like AU has had. Deep down, there isn't one of you frickers that would not trade the last 5 years with Auburn. You know it's true and it hurts. Hurts real bad.

Looking forward to seeing your fiery rationalizations on why not.
